On June 10, 2025, Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh, Head of the Steering Committee for the Exhibition of Socio -Economic Achievements on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day, issued a Decision to establish the Organizing Committee; at the same time, assigned specific tasks to the sub-committees. At the conference, representatives of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism reported on the implementation of the exhibition and summarized the draft organization plan.
Accordingly, the exhibition is expected to take place from August 28 to September 5, 2025 at the National Exhibition Center (Hanoi) with a space scale of nearly 250,000 m². The exhibition has the participation of ministries, branches, localities nationwide and enterprises representing the State-owned and private enterprises. At the exhibition, in addition to the exhibits, there will also be a combination of 3D map projections, virtual reality experiences, multimedia audiovisual works, digital technology applications, AI...
This is a national-scale event to recreate the country's comprehensive development journey over the past 80 years in the fields of: Economy, culture, education, national security and defense, foreign affairs, digital transformation, innovation... From there, promote so that the people know, international friends understand, arouse pride and sense of responsibility so that Vietnam confidently enters a new era - the era of development to build a strong country.
The main activities at the exhibition include: Displaying and introducing socio-economic achievements in 80 years of building, protecting and developing the country. Along with that are supporting activities such as: Introducing culture, tourism, cuisine, handicraft villages... of localities; culture, arts; organizing bilateral contact activities, conferences, seminars...
At the conference, delegates reported and discussed a number of issues such as: Location of booths, preparation of facilities, electricity, water, lighting; reception, logistics, welcoming delegates; plan to mobilize forces to ensure traffic safety, security and order at the event venue...
In his concluding remarks at the conference, Comrade Nguyen Van Hung emphasized that the exhibition is a very important event to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2. There is not much time left until the exhibition, the large scale of the organization, the large amount of work requires ministries, branches, agencies, localities, and members of the Organizing Committee to be highly determined and make great efforts to carry out the tasks to ensure meaning, on schedule, quality, efficiency, and safety.
He suggested that units and localities participating in the exhibition should promote creativity when selecting, introducing and promoting heritage and products to create unique features, ensuring savings and efficiency. Provinces and cities in the merger need to hold meetings to unify plans, content and implementation forms when participating in the exhibition...
Immediately after the conference ended, Comrade Mai Son requested relevant departments and branches to concentrate and carefully prepare conditions to participate in the event. The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism worked with the organizing committee to propose the arrangement of exhibition booths to suit the space, nature and scale of the event. Invite reputable experts and researchers with in-depth knowledge of the specialized field and experience to advise and propose ideas and content for the exhibition.
