Raised alert level II on Cau Chay River at Xuan Vinh Hydrological Station

(Baothanhhoa.vn) - At 9:00 a.m. on August 26, 2025, the Thanh Hoa Provincial Civil Defense Command continued to issue Official Dispatch No. 26 increasing alert level II on Cau Chay River.

Telegrams sent to the Chairmen of the People's Committees of the communes: Tho Lap, Xuan Tin, Xuan Lap, Thieu Hoa, Thieu Tien, Thieu Quang, Yen Dinh, Yen Phu, Yen Ninh, Dinh Hoa.

According to the flood warning bulletin on Cau Chay River No. DBLU-35/06h300/THOA dated August 26, 2025 of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Hydrometeorological Station, at 7:00 a.m. on August 26, 2025, the water level on Cau Chay River at Xuan Vinh Hydrological Station was +8.35m (0.35m below BĐI); the warning water level of Cau Chay River at Xuan Vinh Hydrological Station is likely to reach BĐII (+9.00m) at around 12-14:00 p.m. on August 26, 2025.

The Provincial Civil Defense Command issued a second alert on Cau Chay River at Xuan Vinh Hydrological Station, requesting the Chairmen of the People's Committees of the above communes:

Immediately deploy dike patrols and dike protection according to alarm levels.

Organize inspection, review and be ready to deploy plans to ensure the safety of dike works; especially key dike points and culverts across dikes in the area.

Proactively implement evacuation plans for people living in riverbank areas.

Organize a 24/7 duty team, closely monitor the development of rain and floods to be ready to handle situations from the first hour; promptly inform and report to the Provincial Disaster Prevention and Control Command Office and the Standing Office of the Provincial Civil Defense Command.
