Strengthening propaganda to celebrate the 80th anniversary of August Revolution and National Day September 2

On the morning of August 23, Vice Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee Le Trung Ho chaired a meeting to listen to a report on preparations for organizing activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).

According to the Department of Culture and Sports of An Giang province, in order to create a joyful and exciting atmosphere among the people towards the important national holiday, the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, the Provincial People's Committee directed departments, branches and units to urgently deploy activities to celebrate and welcome the event in localities.

Visual propaganda and agitation work has been promoted with diverse and rich content. Communes, wards and special zones in the province have deployed the hanging of nearly 3,000 banners; 714 billboards; 29,784 colored flags, red flags, cluster flags, fishtail flags, Party flags and national flags at agency headquarters, connecting points, and main roads in the area to propagate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, combined with propaganda for the local Party Congress.

The Provincial People's Committee organized groundbreaking and inauguration ceremonies for key projects and works connected online with the National Exhibition Center bridge. Organized visits to pre-uprising comrades and veteran revolutionary cadres in Long Xuyen and Binh Duc wards.

The province also completed the construction of an exhibition space to introduce the socio -economic achievements of An Giang province with the theme "An Giang One Vision - One Action - One Belief"; coordinated with large enterprises and corporations to display and introduce industrial products, trade and tourism, and promote An Giang's unique cuisine at the National Exhibition Center.

The province has made a list of delegates of the province's meritorious people to attend the parade and march in Hanoi , with an estimated number of 177 people. The People's Committee will organize a ceremony to offer incense and flowers to commemorate the heroic martyrs at the province's two martyr cemeteries on August 25.

The People's Committees of wards and special zones: Phu Quoc, Ha Tien, Long Xuyen, Rach Gia, Chau Doc are actively coordinating with the Provincial Military Command, the Department of Culture and Sports, and relevant units to develop a detailed plan to organize an art program and fireworks display on the evening of September 2.

Vice Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee Le Trung Ho delivered a concluding speech at the meeting.

Concluding the meeting, Vice Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee Le Trung Ho requested An Giang Provincial Newspaper and Radio - Television to coordinate with departments, branches, Provincial Journalists Association, Provincial Literature - Arts Association, press agencies to promote extensive propaganda work, highlighting the historical significance of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, the country's renovation process, the socio-economic development achievements of the province, arousing national pride, encouraging and strongly motivating the people to continue to unite under the leadership of the Party, the management of the State, the government, our province and our country will have many new victories.

Provincial and local agencies and departments organize the hanging of flags, banners, and propaganda posters at their agencies and units; propagate and mobilize people to hang flags, clean their houses, and live a civilized life.

Strengthening the implementation of gratitude, visiting and encouraging families with meritorious services. The Provincial Military Command, Provincial Police, and Department of Home Affairs closely coordinated to perform well the ceremony to visit the provincial martyrs' cemetery; performing well the service of bringing the delegation of people with meritorious services to Hanoi to attend the anniversary celebration and parade.

The People's Committees of Rach Gia, Ha Tien, Phu Quoc, Long Xuyen and Chau Doc wards shall strengthen the review and inspection of the scale of the fireworks art program to ensure it is worthy of the great significance of the celebration; carefully prepare the guest list, program content, ensure security and order, and fire prevention and fighting during the event.
