Delegates visit booths displaying Vietnamese products in Tokyo, Japan
This activity aims to concretize the cooperation commitments in the two Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) signed between the Ministry of Industry and Trade and AEON Group and between the Hanoi People's Committee and AEON Group.
The event is a large-scale event within the framework of the Ministry of Industry and Trade's Project "Promoting Vietnamese enterprises to directly participate in foreign distribution systems by 2030". At the same time, the event aims to expand the market and increase the presence of Vietnamese goods in the Asian region.
Over the years, hundreds of Vietnamese products have met the standards of the Japanese market through AEON import and distribution throughout the Group's supermarket system in Japan and throughout Asia. This has affirmed the prestige, quality and sustainable growth potential of Vietnamese goods in the international market.
This year's event marks a special milestone as for the first time the Goods Week is held simultaneously in four countries in the region: Japan, Hong Kong (China), Cambodia, and Malaysia. Attending the opening ceremony in Tokyo were Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Phan Thi Thang, Vietnamese Ambassador to Japan Pham Quang Hieu, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade Nguyen The Hiep...
According to Deputy Minister Phan Thi Thang, Vietnamese enterprises are constantly transforming towards green and sustainable development - from circular production, using environmentally friendly materials to saving energy and ensuring social responsibility in the supply chain. These values are completely in line with new consumer trends, especially in the Japanese market, where quality, transparency and environmental commitment are top priorities.
At the main bridge in Japan, the Vietnam Goods Week event took place with hundreds of product codes belonging to groups such as: Agricultural products, processed foods, seafood, textiles, household goods, health care products, and handicrafts. This year's highlight is the appearance of traditional Vietnamese dishes such as pho, vermicelli, bread and many attractive street foods served directly at open kitchens in supermarkets.

Japan is currently one of Vietnam's leading economic partners and has signed the most bilateral and multilateral FTAs with Vietnam. Agreements such as the Vietnam-Japan Economic Partnership Agreement; the ASEAN-Japan Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement; the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP); and the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) are advantages that bring benefits to the Japanese people when choosing and consuming high-quality products made in Vietnam.
