Witnessing the Lac Hong 900 LX SUV hit by hundreds of bullets and still "good"

The bulletproof version of the Lac Hong 900 LX in Vietnam was developed with INKAS Armored Vehicle Manufacturing (Canada) - one of the world's leading brands in upgrading armored vehicles. The vehicle is on display at the "80-year journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness" exhibition at the National Exhibition and Fair Center (Dong Anh, Hanoi).

Compared to the standard version, the bulletproof Vinfast Lac Hong 900 LX weighs up to 5,049 kg, significantly heavier than the 3,035 kg of the Standard version.

The car's power has been increased from 402 to 455 horsepower, but performance has been slightly reduced, with 0–100 km/h acceleration taking 9.8 seconds and a top speed of 150 km/h. The 123 kWh battery pack remains the same, but the operating range has been reduced to around 450 km per full charge.

The bulletproof Vinfast Lac Hong 900 LX SUV uses 19-inch rims, combined with run-flat tires that can continue to operate for another 80-100 km even when flat.

The biggest highlight of this version is the protection capability that meets the international VPAM VR7 standard. The vehicle can withstand NATO Ball M80 bullets from rifles such as the M14 or AK-47 7.62×51 mm at many shooting angles, with a total of 440 shots tested.

The Lac Hong 900 LX is also reinforced to withstand the destructive power of mines and DM51 grenades detonated under the chassis or on the roof. In addition, users can optionally add an oxygen system, fire suppression system, satellite phone, warning lights and sirens according to the intended use.

The development partner for this special edition, INKAS Armored, was established in Canada in 2000 and is currently present in more than 78 countries with a product portfolio of armored SUVs, sedans and limousines for government , business and private use.

Lac Hong 900 LX is a special limited edition, reserved for transporting international heads of state at the 80th National Day Celebration for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The vehicle comes in two versions, Standard and Bulletproof.
