Fan shop owner who assaulted two reporters at Hanoi Radio and Television station detained

On the afternoon of June 7, the Investigation Police Agency, Dong Da District Police ( Hanoi ) decided to temporarily detain Pham Van Phuong (born in 1981, owner of Khanh Phuong fan shop, in O Cho Dua ward, Dong Da district) and Le Van Hung (born in 1984, shop employee) to investigate the act of intentionally causing injury.

These are the two men who assaulted a reporter at Hanoi Radio and Television on June 6.

On the sidelines of the National Assembly , Lieutenant General Nguyen Hai Trung - Director of Hanoi City Police, affirmed that he had assigned Dong Da District Police to promptly consider prosecuting the case and bring it to a strict trial.

Previously, at 2:25 p.m. on June 6, when a group of reporters from Hanoi Radio and Television were preparing to deploy cameras to record the sale of rechargeable fans on the sidewalk in front of an electric fan store in Dong Cac, O Cho Dua area, Dong Da district (Hanoi), they were beaten.

Immediately after the incident, reporters reported it to the police of O Cho Dua ward, Dong Da district and took the TTC reporter to the hospital for emergency treatment due to multiple injuries.

O Cho Dua Ward police brought one of the attackers of the TTC reporter to the headquarters for questioning. The other escaped suspect also turned himself in that same evening.
