Department of Education and Training calculates scores for questions with 3 answers at Tran Dai Nghia School for grade 6

The Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City calculates points for a question with 3 answers for the 6th grade entrance exam at Tran Dai Nghia Secondary and High School. Previously, the answer announced by the Department had only 1 answer.

Regarding the entrance exam for grade 6 at Tran Dai Nghia Secondary and High School, some parents have questions about how to calculate scores in the exam. Specifically, question 2 in the math and logical thinking test has the following content: How many different ways can you place 3 beans, each bean in a square in the picture below, so that each row and each column has only one bean?

The Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City announced the exam questions and answer scores for each question. For this question, the answer given by the Department of Education and Training is 8.

However, the Department said that during the marking and reviewing process, the marking council found that some candidates' papers included answers outside of the options such as 0 and 48, which are consistent with the logical thinking of the subject.

Therefore, the board of examiners decided to accept all three results: 8, 0 and 48 ways. Thus, students were given 3 points according to the survey's scoring scale with the above three results.

The Tran Dai Nghia School's 6th grade entrance exam took place on June 16 with more than 4,800 students in Ho Chi Minh City participating. With the school's enrollment target of 350, this year's "competition" ratio is up to 1/14, higher than the 2024 enrollment season. The Department of Education and Training has announced the admission score for 6th grade at Tran Dai Nghia Secondary and High School for the 2025-2026 school year is 73.25. Compared to the 2024-2025 school year at 67.5, this year's admission score increased by 5.75 points.

Successful candidates submit their admission applications at Tran Dai Nghia Secondary and High School from 11pm to 4pm on June 28.
Admission documents include: Primary school transcript (original), birth certificate extract, photocopy of Notice of personal identification number or ID card, certificate of child of war invalid or martyr (if any).

After 4:00 p.m. on June 28, if parents do not submit their admission application directly, the school will remove the student's name from the admission list.
