
Mr. Nguyen Van Dong (56 years old, a resident whose house was affected) recounted: “In the middle of the night, when everyone in the house was sleeping, we suddenly heard a loud cracking sound from the house behind. In just a few minutes, the house behind collapsed completely into the river. Luckily, the family discovered it in time so there were no casualties.”

The survey showed that the landslide area was nearly 30m long, about 10m deep inland, 5 houses were affected and drifted into the river. Currently, the landslide area shows no signs of stopping, many cracks continue to appear and expand.
Mr. Tran Tam Trung, Chairman of Gia Rai Ward People's Committee, said that immediately after the landslide occurred, the ward mobilized forces to the scene to support people in moving their assets in the landslide area to a safe place, helping people stabilize their lives. At the same time, he directed the installation of warning signs, arranged forces to monitor the landslide situation, implemented zoning measures, and took measures to ensure people's safety.
