This agency said that immediately after the press reported, Noi Bai International Airport coordinated with the Northern Airport Authority to conduct verification. Thereby, it was determined that the above product was sold at the Bigbowl store, located on the 3rd floor of the T2 Terminal isolation area. This is a brand that has been registered for trademark protection, currently operating at many major airports such as Tan Son Nhat, Phu Quoc, Da Nang and Cam Ranh.
Specifically, the char siu pork sandwich product weighs about 200 grams, using pork ingredients imported from Brazil. The price of 208,000 VND is fully listed, publicly and clearly at the counter, in accordance with current regulations.
In addition to this product, the store also offers many other types of bread with prices starting from 2.1 USD (about 50,000 VND) to meet the diverse needs of passengers.
Regularly inspect and monitor non-aviation service provision activities
Currently, Terminal 2 of Noi Bai Airport has 24 food and beverage stalls in operation, providing essential services according to regulations. Product prices in public areas start from 20,000 VND, while in isolated areas start from 1.5 USD/product. Non-aviation services at Noi Bai include: food, beverage, duty-free sales, souvenirs, etc.
The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam said that all business units here comply with legal regulations on the origin of goods, and list prices publicly and transparently. At the same time, the Authority also directed the Northern Airport Authority to regularly inspect and supervise the provision of non-aviation services at the airport, especially regarding service quality and price listing.
Noi Bai International Airport has increased supervision and review of the activities of organizations and individuals providing services at the terminal to ensure service quality and legitimate rights of passengers.
The Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV) is responsible for strengthening direction and comprehensively inspecting the provision of non-aviation services at ports; promptly correcting shortcomings affecting service quality and customer experience.
