How many shares of Sacombank does the Chinese fund hold?

Sacombank has just announced information about shareholders holding 1% of charter capital. In this list, besides 4 institutional shareholders, there is only one individual shareholder, Mr. Duong Cong Minh - the chairman of this bank.

Saigon Thuong Tin Commercial Joint Stock Bank - Sacombank (STB) has just announced information on shareholders owning 1% or more of charter capital according to the new requirements of the Law on Credit Institutions.

The announced list includes 5 shareholders, including 4 organizations and 1 individual. These shareholders own more than 267.5 million shares, equivalent to 14.2% of Sacombank's capital.

The only individual shareholder on the list is none other than Mr. Duong Cong Minh - Chairman of STB, with more than 62.56 million shares, equivalent to 3.32% ownership.

Mr. Minh's related person also holds more than 11.85 million STB shares - equivalent to 0.63% of capital. According to the management report, this related person is Ms. Duong Thi Liem, Mr. Minh's younger sister.

Thus, the total ownership ratio of Mr. Minh and his family at Sacombank is 3.95% of charter capital. Neither Mr. Minh's wife nor his children own any shares at this bank.

Meanwhile, looking at the management report for the first 6 months of 2024, it can be seen that most other leaders at the bank hold shares of less than 1% of charter capital.

For example, Ms. Nguyen Duc Thach Diem - permanent vice president and general director, owns 76,320 STB shares, equivalent to 0.004% of the bank's capital.

Mr. Pham Van Phong - Vice Chairman of STB - holds 19,680 shares, equivalent to 0.001% of capital. Mr. Nguyen Xuan Vu - member of the Board of Directors - also holds 833 shares.

Mr. Phan Dinh Tue - another member of the Board of Directors - also only holds 142,895 shares, equivalent to 0.007%...

Returning to the list of shareholders holding more than 1% of the bank's capital that has just been announced, the four organizations that appear are all familiar names such as Pyn Elite Fund, Tianhong Vietnam Thematic Fund (QDII), SCB Vietnam Alpha Fund Not For Retail Investors, Norges Bank.

Chinese fund is the largest institutional shareholder holding Sacombank shares.

In the list, the institutional shareholder holding the most shares of Sacombank is Pyn Elite Fund with more than 125.9 million shares, equivalent to 6.68% of the bank's charter capital.

A recent report by Pyn Elite Fund also shows that in the fund's top 10 portfolios, Sacombank's STB shares account for 1/5 of the portfolio, equivalent to a proportion of 20%.

The next largest institutional shareholder is Tianhong Vietnam Thematic Fund (QDII) with more than 32.24 million shares, equivalent to 1.71% of capital.

Tianhong Vietnam belongs to Tianhong Asset Management (Tianhong AM), a fund management company based in China.

SCB Vietnam Alpha Fund Not For Retail Investors owns more than 25.54 million shares, equivalent to 1.36% of Sacombank's capital. Meanwhile, Norges Bank holds 20.4 million shares, equivalent to 1.13% of Sacombank's capital.
