National Assembly approves personnel of National Election Council

On June 26, the National Assembly voted to pass a Resolution approving the proposal of the Chairman of the National Election Council on the list of Vice Chairmen of the National Election Council and members of the National Election Council with 100% of National Assembly deputies participating in the vote in favor.

According to the Vietnam National Assembly Electronic Information Portal, the electronic voting results showed that with 431/431 (100%) of the National Assembly deputies present voting in favor, the National Assembly passed the Resolution approving the proposal of the Chairman of the National Election Council on the list of Vice Chairmen of the National Election Council and members of the National Election Council.

Previously, the National Assembly listened to Secretary General of the National Assembly and Head of the National Assembly Office Le Quang Tung present a draft Resolution approving the proposal of the Chairman of the National Election Council on the list of Vice Chairmen of the National Election Council and members of the National Election Council.

Resolution approving the proposal of the Chairman of the National Election Council on the list of Vice Chairmen of the National Election Council including: Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh, member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly as Permanent Vice Chairwoman of the National Election Council and Head of the Personnel Subcommittee; Mr. Nguyen Hoa Binh , member of the Politburo, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister of the Government; Mr. Do Van Chien, member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; Ms. Vo Thi Anh Xuan, member of the Party Central Committee, Vice President.

The list of members of the National Election Council includes 14 people: Mr. Le Minh Hung, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Organization Committee; Mr. Nguyen Duy Ngoc, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Inspection Committee; Mr. Nguyen Trong Nghia, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee; Mr. Phan Van Giang, Politburo member, Minister of National Defense; Mr. Luong Tam Quang, Politburo member, Minister of Public Security; Mr. Nguyen Khac Dinh, Party Central Committee member, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly, Member and Head of the Subcommittee on Legal Documents and Complaints and Denunciations; Mr. Nguyen Duc Hai, Party Central Committee member, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly, Member and Head of the Subcommittee on Information and Propaganda; Mr. Tran Quang Phuong, Party Central Committee member, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly, Member and Head of the Subcommittee on Ensuring Security, Order and Social Safety; Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Tra, Member of the Party Central Committee, Minister of Home Affairs, Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee; Mr. Le Quang Tung, Member of the Party Central Committee, Member of the National Assembly Standing Committee, Secretary General of the National Assembly, Head of the National Assembly Office; Ms. Nguyen Thanh Hai, Member of the Party Central Committee, Member of the National Assembly Standing Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation Work Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee; Mr. Lam Van Man, Member of the Party Central Committee, Member of the National Assembly Standing Committee, Chairman of the National Assembly Ethnic Council from July 1, 2025 according to Resolution No. 214/2025/QH15 of the National Assembly; Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyen, Member of the Party Central Committee, President of the Vietnam Women's Union; Mr. Bui Quang Huy, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union.

The Resolution takes effect from the date the National Assembly votes to pass it.
