From small-scale production, in early 2020, Mr. Phan Truong Au's family in Phu Sa village (Que Xuan 1 commune, Que Son) decided to register to participate in the OCOP program with the typical product of coconut waffles.

With support of more than 220 million VND from the Que Son district authorities and local authorities, Mr. Au has the conditions to invest in expanding production facilities and purchasing modern machinery and equipment to improve operating capacity and product quality.

Mr. Au said that at the end of 2020, Phu Sa coconut waffle was recognized by the People's Committee of Quang Nam province as meeting 3-star OCOP standards. Since achieving 3-star OCOP standards, the product consumption market has continuously expanded, and the output of goods sold has also increased quite strongly.

“In the first 10 months of 2024, on average, my facility supplied the market with about 15,000 products per month and achieved a revenue of 150 million VND. After deducting expenses, the remaining net profit was at least 30 million VND/month, double that of 2019 and before,” said Mr. Au.
