On October 17, the Office of the People's Committee of Quang Nam province said that the Provincial People's Committee has just sent a document to the People's Committee of Hoi An city and the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism on strengthening the management of tourism environment in Hoi An.

According to the People's Committee of Quang Nam province, on March 22, 2023, the Provincial People's Committee issued a directive to promote the management of the tourism environment, ensuring security and safety for tourists in the province.

In recent times, sectors and localities have actively developed action plans and programs to strengthen management and rectify the tourism environment at destinations.

In particular, Hoi An City has also actively strengthened measures to inspect and rectify tourism activities and services to ensure the tourism environment and restore traffic order and safety in some areas of the city, limiting encroachment on roadsides and sidewalks, etc., contributing to building the image of Quang Nam - a green tourist destination with results.

However, the situation of street vendors in the old quarter, especially the sale of paper birds in the area of Chua Cau, forcing customers to buy goods, soliciting customers to use Spa services... still exists and has not been completely resolved, causing loss of aesthetics, insecurity, safety, and creating a bad impression for tourists.

At the Bay Mau coconut forest, Cam Thanh commune, noise pollution from the use of high-power speakers, touts, and arbitrary price increases for services still occur frequently, causing frustration among the people and tourists. The situation of touts, competing for customers, and raising service prices at Cua Dai wharf, and self-organizing tours for tourists at Cu Lao Cham wharf operate openly, and departure procedures are still done manually, causing inconvenience to tourists.

In order to continue building a civilized, safe, clean and green tourism environment, the Provincial People's Committee requests the Hoi An City People's Committee to coordinate with relevant agencies and units to urgently inspect, handle and completely resolve the above situations.
