Speaking at the opening ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoang Lan, representative of the Organizing Committee, emphasized: “In the context of increasingly fierce international tourism competition, possessing attractive, emotional and quickly spreading communication products is a key factor.
Digital technology and social networking platforms today allow us to convey the image of Vietnam's country, people, culture and tourism services to millions, even hundreds of millions of people around the world in a very short time.
According to Ms. Hoang Lan, when combined with the inspirational ability of KOLs, KOCs, famous artists and the content creation community, the promotional campaign will have a stronger influence than ever.
“With the creativity of the community, unique and novel perspectives, we believe that the contest will bring a treasure trove of special videos, fully reflecting the beauty of the country and people of Vietnam. The contest is not only an artistic playground but also a place for each person to tell their own story about Vietnam, thereby contributing to building the Vietnamese tourism brand - a safe, friendly and attractive destination”, Ms. Hoang Lan further emphasized.
At the event, Mr. Tran Hoang Nam, Chairman of the Tourism Development Support Fund, stated that online and social media promotion is an effective approach, complementing traditional methods.
“Not only do digital platforms spread information quickly, they also help us measure campaign effectiveness in detail, from demographics, user behavior to how they decide to choose a service or destination,” Mr. Hoang Nam analyzed.
The Organizing Committee especially encourages works focusing on topics that are suitable for the national tourism development orientation such as: Cultural heritage, new tourism products, green tourism experiences, health tourism, golf, etc.
The organizers also said that the contest will have regulations on copyright, music copyright used in the work and will not use images created by artificial intelligence (AI) in the entries. Non-winning works still have the opportunity to be selected to serve the promotion and advertising of Vietnamese tourism on different platforms.
