On a forum sharing about culinary tourism, a guest named T. said that he had just had an unpleasant experience when he went to Tu San alley located in the downstream of Nho Que river, Tuyen Quang province (formerly Ha Giang province).

The restaurant owner sent the guest a picture of the rice tray and asked her to pay 50% of the price in advance. The girl transferred a deposit of 700,000 VND.

On August 31, the family arrived but were disappointed by the messy, moldy tables and chairs, the unsanitary floor, and the dining area filled with mosquitoes, completely different from her initial image and the photo the restaurant sent when she made the reservation.

The customer also thought that the 1.5 million VND rice tray for 6 people was quite expensive. For these reasons, the group of customers did not want to eat and accepted to lose the 700,000 VND deposit.

According to Dan Tri reporters, meals in this area often serve local specialties such as grilled stream fish, hill chicken, cat cabbage with soy sauce and eggs, and grilled wild boar with mac mat leaves.

All are served on bamboo trays lined with green banana leaves, creating a rustic, rustic feel. The price of such a tray of food usually ranges from 400,000 VND to 2 million VND, suitable for groups of 2 to 10 people.

Speaking to reporters, Mr. M., the owner of the restaurant, confirmed that this incident happened at the restaurant on the morning of August 31.

The owner said that because the restaurant prepares local specialties such as cage-raised river carp, black chicken, and local pigs, customers must make reservations in advance to prepare. Therefore, customers must pay a 50% deposit in advance so that the restaurant can prepare the ingredients.

At around 8am on August 31, the group of guests arrived at the restaurant, while the establishment did not serve lunch until 11am. The group said they wanted to come and play first and could wait. After a while, the guests were dissatisfied and decided not to eat.

Discussing the things that customers were dissatisfied with, the owner explained that because the tables and chairs were placed outdoors in the long-term rainy and humid conditions, they were dark in color, not moldy or unhygienic.

"Our restaurant does not serve cheap meals. The price of a rice tray of 1.5 million VND for 6 people is reasonable, not more expensive than the general level. The rice tray includes grilled river carp, grilled local pork, grilled chicken, bamboo rice, and wild vegetables," the restaurant representative added.

According to this person, after the incident, the restaurant cleaned the entire area, learned from experience to welcome guests more carefully, and not let a similar situation happen again.
