The Russian Military Review website reported that the city of Kostiantynivka, located in the western part of Donetsk Oblast, continues to be surrounded by the Russian Armed Forces (RFAF) from multiple directions. Kostiantynivka is located about 12 km southwest of Chasov Yar, which Moscow claimed it had completely overrun late last month. To protect Kostiantynivka, the General Staff of the Ukrainian army is trying to strengthen the defenses there by continuing to send in reserve troops. According to the commander of the parachute battalion of the RFAF 98th Airborne Division, codenamed Spartak, told the Russian news agency RIA Novosti, the Ukrainian troops in Kostiantynivka are suffering losses due to our FPV UAVs and larger UAVs, among other reasons.
With the new trend of warfare and technology, fire damage is now being done more precisely, that is, fiber-optic FPV attack UAVs and armed UAVs. Anything can be detected at a long distance and destroyed with precision. Such tactics disrupted the logistics of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), preventing them from reinforcing their forces on the front line, RIA Novosti quoted the Spartak officer as saying. Rybar reported that south of Konstantinovka, the RFAF expanded its control in the Yablonivka area and pushed the enemy back to the fortification line north of the village. According to the VoenkorKotenok channel, the RFAF Southern Task Force continues its offensive near Konstantinovka. North of the N-32 highway, RFAF assault units are fighting near Volodymyrivka and eliminating Ukrainian troops trapped east of Nykanorivka. South of the N-32 highway, after pushing back Ukrainian troops from the heights on the northern and western Predtechino areas, Russian troops broke through enemy defenses on the southeastern outskirts of Konstantinovka.
In the face of the RFAF’s fierce advance, the Ukrainian troops were forced to withdraw from the fortified area behind the Severski Donets-Donbass Canal, west and southwest of Kleshcheevka (between Belaya Gora and Stupochki). The RFAF advanced more than 4km towards the AFU’s fortified positions on the northern Alexandro-Shultino heights from behind. Once the Russians took control of this fortified area, the remaining AFU garrisons would be forced to retreat. Fighting continues in the Kleban-Byk - Katerinovka area and on the approach to Nelepovka and Plescheevka. West of Konstantinovka, RFAF units are attacking the area between Stepanovka and Rusin Yar, towards the Artyoma (Dolgaya Balka) – Artyomovka (Sofievka) road. Meanwhile, according to KalibratedMaps, the RFAF has closed the area north of Bila Hora and entered Konstantinovka from the east. The total area they have just captured is 27 square kilometers. However, the most dangerous thing is that the Ukrainian forces are currently trapped in the area south of the Kleban-Byk reservoir. According to Ukrainian MP Maryana Bezuglya, the most difficult situation is the evacuation of wounded Ukrainian troops in the Kleban-Byk encirclement. They say it is hell there now, but the AFU General Staff reports that "everything is fine... all Russian attacks have been repelled". However, in reality, looking at the Pentagon's Liveuamap war map, in the area of the dam near Kleban-Byk there seems to be a narrow "corridor", but it has been completely blocked by Russian UAVs. Anything moving there, day or night, is immediately destroyed by FPV UAVs. Currently, all the high points around this area are under the control of the Russian army.
The Russian website “ Military Chronicle” received from a reliable source on the ground that units of the RFAF Southern Group of Forces have consolidated their positions at Predtechine and are pursuing the remnants of the Ukrainian troops remaining in the area; currently the AFU here has retreated to the Yuzhnye wooden houses and residential areas on the outskirts of Konstantinovka. Further west of Konstantinovka, the RFAF Army Group Centre was repelling enemy counterattacks and continuing its advance towards Sofievka, northeast of Volodymyrivka, bypassing the defences around Shakhovo, despite the AFU General Staff deploying some of its best brigades in the area. Currently, Russian artillery, air force and UAV units are systematically attacking enemy reserves. The two sides continue to engage in fierce fighting on the western outskirts of Shakhovo and have advanced to Volodymyrivka, crossing the Kazenyi Torets River, to join the battles in the north of the region.
Further west of Kostiantynivka, Russian units have retreated to the Kucheriv Yar area, recapturing former AFU positions and repelling counterattacks, while also receiving reserves and supplies; fighting in the area continues to be fierce. Zolotoy Kolodez and Vesyoloye have now been recaptured by the AFU, following a rapid RFAF offensive. (photo source: Military Review, Ukrinform, RIA Novosti).
