Honda Accord 2026 "gas guzzler" from 1.3 billion, will it come to Vietnam?

Launched in the Thai market, the 2026 Honda Accord D-segment sedan will have a selling price ranging from 1,599,000 - 1,729,000 Baht (equivalent to 1.3 to 1.4 billion VND).

Honda Thailand has just officially introduced the mid-life upgraded version of the Honda Accord sedan with many notable new features. This new model has also adjusted the selling price down by 70,000 Baht (about 57 million VND) compared to the previous version.

Accordingly, the 2026 Honda Accord sedan model in the Thai market will have a selling price ranging from 1,599,000 and 1,729,000 Baht (equivalent to 1.3 billion VND to 1.4 billion VND).

Safety technology upgrades have been made across all three versions, along with slight exterior tweaks such as new headlight bezels, front and rear bumpers and body side panels painted the same color as the body, giving a more unified and modern look.

In terms of dimensions, the new Accord is 4,962 mm long, 68 mm longer than the previous version, while the width, height and wheelbase remain almost the same. The fuel tank capacity reaches 48.5 liters, suitable for long-distance travel needs.

The interior of the 2026 Accord continues to be a plus with a series of high-end equipment. The center is a 12.3-inch entertainment screen integrated with the Google Built-in operating system with full Google Maps, Assistant and Play Store.

10.2-inch TFT digital dashboard, 12-speaker BOSE sound system, wireless phone charger, dual-zone air conditioning, Plasma Cluster air filter and panoramic sunroof (on RS version) contribute to enhancing the user experience.

The Honda SENSING safety package comes standard, including features like automatic emergency braking, lane keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, automatic high beams, and forward collision warning.

Both active safety technologies including BSM – Blind Spot Monitoring System and CTM – Rear Cross Traffic Alert are now standard on all versions of the 2026 Accord.

Powering the 2026 Accord is still the e:HEV i-MMD hybrid powertrain with a 2.0L gasoline engine combined with two electric motors. Total capacity reaches 207 horsepower, maximum torque of 335 Nm, combined with an e-CVT automatic transmission.

The car has a fuel economy of 25 km/l and CO₂ emissions of just 96 g/km. The intelligent operating system allows the driver to choose between three modes: pure electric (EV), hybrid or engine drive.
