"Prime" cafe to watch the parade, only accepts 60 guests
In the joyful atmosphere preparing to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, Hanoi residents have made plans to join in the parades and marches.
In addition to going out early in the morning to choose a good spot, many people also go to coffee shops with prime locations to sip coffee while enjoying the majestic army passing by.
One of the notable locations is the coffee shop located right at the intersection of Cua Nam, Nguyen Thai Hoc, Dien Bien Phu, Hang Bong, Trang Thi, Tho Nhuom and Phan Boi Chau streets. This is also an important route for many parades, making the shop quickly become a "hot coordinate".
The coffee shop was full for many days because of customers flocking to watch the September 2nd parade ( Video : Character provided).
Mr. Nguyen Tien Dat, the owner of the restaurant, said that the restaurant has only been open for 3 months and he himself was surprised that this place has such a favorable view of the parade.
The restaurant has a front view towards Nguyen Thai Hoc street, so customers sitting on the 2nd, 3rd floors and the rooftop can easily observe.
Each floor can accommodate up to 16 to 20 guests. The best location is the rooftop with a panoramic view of all locations, but it was soon full because guests had booked 2 months ago and transferred 100% of the deposit.
"The restaurant has been fully booked since the beginning of August. The important days of August 21, 24, 27, 30 and September 2 are all fully booked. However, I only accept a limit of about 60 guests, which is the same number of seats in the restaurant.
Many people wanted to stand and watch, even accepting no seats, but I had to refuse, because that would cause difficulties for security and affect the quality of service, so the restaurant only kept the number of seats arranged," Mr. Dat shared.
According to research, the cost is about 300,000 VND/person. This price includes a seat and a drink of your choice. Guests can sit comfortably for an unlimited amount of time, even all day. In case the restaurant can arrange more seats on September 2, the price will be 350,000 VND/person.

Customers mainly book through fanpage or phone number. In recent days, Mr. Dat's phone has been ringing almost non-stop, with messages continuously coming in for table reservations, but he has to refuse because all the tables are booked.

Mr. Dat denied that he "made a fortune" on this occasion, because the price increase was mainly to balance the costs of premises, personnel and services.
"If we just keep the menu price the same, 60 guests will only bring home a few million VND, while the rent, electricity and water in the center are very expensive. I always quote the price in advance, and only accept it when the customer agrees," he shared.
However, according to him, most customers are satisfied with this cost. "With a safe, airy location to fully enjoy the parade, many people think 300,000 VND is reasonable," he added.
International visitors also look for places to watch the parade.
Not only Hanoians, many foreign tourists have also booked tables at the restaurant. In addition to the 2nd and 5th floors having balconies, the other floors are equipped with large glass, allowing customers to easily observe.
In addition to traditional coffee, the shop also organizes small workshops on ceramics and handmade jewelry to introduce Hanoi culture. Thanks to that, in just 3 months of operation, the shop has attracted a stable number of foreign customers, mainly individual customers who found it through Google.

The restaurant space was decorated by Mr. Dat and his family, with a strong Vietnamese character. He hung flags from the outside to the inside, and painted an S-shaped wall for visitors to check in.
"I want the shop to not only be a place to enjoy coffee, but also a place where visitors can clearly feel Vietnamese culture," he shared.

According to him, many international tourists have booked tables in advance for the preliminary and final rehearsals and September 2nd. "They are people who have been to the restaurant before and know the convenient location to watch the parade, so they proactively contacted to book early," he said.
