According to the report from the Party Committee of Dau Tieng commune, after the merger, the commune has a total natural area of nearly 183 km2 with a population of more than 39,000 people. The Party Committee of the commune after the merger has 48 branches and affiliated Party Committees with a total of 1,500 party members.
Regarding the preparation for the first Dau Tieng Commune Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030, the Commune Party Committee issued Decisions to establish 2 Congress document editing groups on contents such as: socio-economics, national defense - security and the Political System Building Document Editing Group. In early July 2025, the Groups developed an action plan, assigned specific tasks to each member of the Editorial Group, and held many meetings to deploy many specific tasks according to the plan.
Regarding the operation of the two-level local government in Dau Tieng commune, up to now, the apparatus of the commune's political system has been stable and has performed well the assigned political tasks. From July 1 to July 24, 2025, the commune received 2,710 records. The number of records of the commune has 1,964 records; the Land Registration Office has 387 records; the Social Insurance records have 359 records... The reception and return of records are carried out synchronously, ensuring the progress and quality of service to the people, contributing to improving the effectiveness of administrative reform in the locality.
The working group also directly inspected Thanh An, Long Hoa, Minh Thanh communes, listened to reports on preparations for the Party Congress, and difficulties in implementing two-level local government. The members of the working group discussed, gave comments, and proposed that the Party Committees of the communes continue to review, supplement, and revise to complete the documents and complete the preparations for the congress.
Concluding the inspection, comrade Hoang Nguyen Dinh highly appreciated the Party Congress preparation work of the Party Committees in Dau Tieng, Long Hoa, Thanh An, Minh Thanh communes; at the same time, he requested the Executive Committee and Standing Committee of the Party Committees of the communes to fully absorb the opinions of the working group members to complete the documents.
He also noted that in drafting documents, it is necessary to specify the contents, especially fully assessing the favorable factors, difficulties, directions, and tasks, and to specifically identify the strategic breakthroughs for local development. The work of organizing the Party Congress must be specific, strict, and detailed to successfully organize the congress.
Deputy Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the City Party Committee Hoang Nguyen Dinh also shared the difficulties that the People's Committees of Dau Tieng, Thanh An, Long Hoa, and Minh Thanh communes are facing in the process of operating the two-level local government. This is also a common difficulty of all communes and wards in Ho Chi Minh City. He requested the leaders of the communes to quickly overcome and complete their tasks well, especially in handling documents and procedures smoothly for the people.
