(binhdinh.gov.vn) - On the afternoon of June 6, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh inspected the construction site of Son Trieu tunnel, part of the Quy Nhon-Chi Thanh component project, part of the North-South Expressway Construction Project, Eastern phase 2021-2025, passing through Binh Dinh province. Accompanying the provincial leaders were comrades: Ho Quoc Dung, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Pham Anh Tuan, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Tu Cong Hoang, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

Investors of the expressway component projects of the Hoa Lien-Tuy Loan, Quang Ngai -Hoai Nhon, Hoai Nhon-Quy Nhon and Quy Nhon-Chi Thanh sections also reported to the Permanent Deputy Prime Minister on the progress of the project and the time frame for striving to complete and put it into operation.

Specifically, for the 88km Quang Ngai - Hoai Nhon project, the total investment is nearly 20,470 billion VND, of which construction and installation is 14,000 billion VND. Currently, there are 3 joint venture contractors implementing the project, the progress has reached 67%, basically ensuring the project progress. The investor strives to complete the entire road and bridge section by September 2025, and complete it by December 2025. On the route, there is a large tunnel 3.2km long, one tunnel has been cleared and the second tunnel is expected to be cleared in early June 2025.

At the Hoai Nhon - Quy Nhon project, over 70.9km long, the cumulative output to date is 5,619 billion VND, reaching more than 73.6% of the contract, meeting the project's progress. The investor and contractor strive to open 46.5km of the road on August 19, 2025, the remaining section on September 30, 2025. For the entire Quy Nhon - Chi Thanh component project, the output reached more than 76% of the contract value, the progress basically meets the plan, expected to open 19.6km of the road before August 19, 2025, the remaining sections before September 30, 2025.

Through on-site inspection and listening to progress reports of the projects, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh acknowledged the efforts of the investor and construction units in overcoming difficulties and ensuring the progress requirements of this national key transport project.

Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh directed investors and construction units to concentrate vehicles, machinery and human resources to speed up the progress of expressway component projects, especially in locations with difficult terrain. In addition to thoroughly grasping the Prime Minister's directive to "overcome the sun and rain, work in 3 shifts and 4 shifts" to speed up the progress, the Deputy Prime Minister also noted that investors, construction supervision units and contractors must comply with and fully implement technical requirements, procedures, aesthetics, and ensure the quality of the project. This is a very important requirement that needs to be strictly controlled and engineers and workers in the construction process of each item need to make more efforts to complete it./.
