Developing spiritual and cultural tourism associated with the special national relic of Po Nagar Tower

Recently, Associate Professor, Dr. Trieu The Hung - Vice Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee on Culture and Society attended the Ceremony to announce and receive the certificate of ranking the Po Nagar Tower as a special national monument and the national intangible cultural heritage of Khanh Hoa Agarwood Exploitation and Processing Knowledge. - I myself am very honored to attend the ceremony honoring the famous relics and heritages of Khanh Hoa . Among them, the special national relic Po Nagar Tower is a sacred symbol that has existed for more than 12 centuries, a living testament to a brilliant traditional culture. Po Nagar Tower is a unique religious architectural relic and also a place to connect the community, preserve customs, rituals, and unique folk cultural values. The Po Nagar Tower Festival is held annually, attracting the participation of thousands of people and visitors from all over.

- In your opinion, how significant is the elevation of Po Nagar Tower to a special national relic for the conservation and promotion of the relic's value? And what should Khanh Hoa province do to effectively exploit the relic's value in the coming time?

- The Prime Minister's decision to rank Po Nagar Tower as a special national monument is both a great honor and a worthy recognition of the cultural, historical, artistic and spiritual values of the monument. This pride is not only for the people of Khanh Hoa but also for all people in the country. For those who always cherish the heritage left by their ancestors, we are happy that the special national monument Po Nagar Tower has received the attention of generations of leaders, local people, researchers and artisans in preserving and promoting the value of cultural heritage. In the context of the country entering an era of development, in order to develop the socio -economy associated with preserving and maintaining the national cultural identity, Khanh Hoa province needs to promote more the promotion of the cultural and historical values of the special national monument Po Nagar Tower in a sustainable manner, associated with protecting the landscape, environment and cultural life of the people. From there, develop spiritual cultural tourism associated with the special national relic of Po Nagar Tower in a civilized, safe direction and respect the diversity of cultural identity in the community, so that the special national relic of Po Nagar Tower will forever be a sacred flame illuminating tradition and a spiritual bridge, a unique cultural destination for every Vietnamese person, as well as friends around the world.

The National Assembly's Committee on Culture and Society will always accompany activities to preserve and promote cultural heritage values in localities; focus on institutionalizing the Party's viewpoints and policies on cultural development, focusing on perfecting the legal system, innovating cultural mechanisms and policies in accordance with the country's cultural and artistic characteristics in the new context to develop the cultural industry, the market for cultural products and services to preserve and promote national cultural values. At the same time, strengthen monitoring activities to implement national target programs on cultural development and conservation programs so that heritage values are not only preserved and conserved but also become valuable spiritual and material resources serving socio-economic development and improving people's lives.

- Currently, Khanh Hoa province possesses rich and diverse cultural resources of great value to the people's lives. So, in your opinion, what should the locality do to both preserve and promote the values of the system of relics and cultural heritage in the area?

- Khanh Hoa province currently has a large potential, abundant cultural resources, including a full range of relics and cultural heritages of marine culture, mountainous culture, and plain culture. Therefore, the province needs to have specific and effective solutions to preserve, promote, exploit and turn into a tourism economy, so that culture truly becomes a resource contributing to the overall growth of the locality. To do so, the province first needs to promote the creation of cultural brands with its own unique characteristics. For example, after the Po Nagar Tower relic was ranked as a special national relic, the province needs to continue to have proposals to honor the spiritual values related to the relic in order to contribute to the world knowing more about the cultural heritage that exists in this land. At the same time, the province also needs to create accompanying cultural services and products, especially forming the habit of doing tourism from the community, each person is a tour guide, each person is a tourist. So that when tourists learn about information about Khanh Hoa, it is not only a famous resort destination, but this place also attracts tourists from the perspective of a land with a rich, diverse and unique culture.
