Attending the meeting were representatives of the Economic - Budget Committee; the Cultural - Social Committee; the Legal Committee; the Urban Committee and representatives of the Departments under the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee.
Reporting to the working delegation, Secretary of the Party Committee of Thu Dau Mot Ward Nguyen Thu Cuc said that Thu Dau Mot Ward was established from the merger of many old administrative units of Binh Duong province, currently has an area of 15.68km², with a population of nearly 88,200 people.
Currently, the Ward People's Council has 86 delegates, and the facilities are relatively fully equipped. Since the official operation of the two-level local government model, the ward has successfully organized the first session on July 1, 2025 and passed 10 important Resolutions related to the organization and apparatus of the People's Council and People's Committee.
At the meeting, the ward leaders raised a number of difficulties and problems in the operation process, such as differences in non-salary support policies between Binh Duong province and Ho Chi Minh City, unclear mechanisms for preserving the old regime; at the same time, they recommended that the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee promptly allocate the budget ceiling for the last 6 months of the year to implement the budget estimate, issue internal procedures for handling administrative procedures to unify the operation of the public administration system.
The ward also recommends that the city's departments, branches and sectors soon advise the City People's Committee to issue internal procedures for handling administrative procedures to unify the process of implementing administrative procedures on the Administrative Procedure Handling Information System...
At the meeting, representatives of departments and branches provided information and further guidance to the ward's specialized departments on some difficulties and problems in the operation process...
Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council Huynh Thanh Nhan acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts of the ward's staff in the initial phase of operating the new government model. He requested relevant departments and branches to support in removing obstacles, while also reminding the ward to continue reviewing facilities, strengthening construction order management, promoting the supervisory role of the People's Council and improving the efficiency of the Public Administration Center.
