(GLO)- On the afternoon of July 9, at the Provincial Party Committee headquarters (Pleiku ward), the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee held a meeting to assign tasks in charge of Gia Lai province (old) in a direct and online format to the bridge points of 77 communes and wards in Gia Lai province (old).

Chairing the conference at the main bridge were comrades: Ho Quoc Dung - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Pham Anh Tuan - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Chau Ngoc Tuan - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation.

Attending the conference were Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Committee: Nguyen Huu Que, Nguyen Thi Thanh Lich; Deputy Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Siu Huong Province; Deputy Heads of specialized agencies advising and assisting the Provincial Party Committee; representatives of leaders of departments, branches, and sectors; Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, associations and unions assigned by the Party and State (base 2).

Speaking at the meeting, Provincial Party Secretary Ho Quoc Dung assessed: After more than 1 week of merger, the operation of the 2-level local government model has been basically smooth; the implementation of administrative procedures for people has been basically smooth, convenient, and on schedule; the service attitude of the staff has received high appreciation from the people.

However, Gia Lai's area is very large and has a large population, so in order to continue to promote the highest sense of responsibility in the direction and management work, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee decided to establish a unit in charge of base 2, assigning comrade Chau Ngoc Tuan - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation - to be in charge of base 2, regularly grasp the situation, closely follow the base to ensure smooth operations.

Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Ho Quoc Dung also emphasized a number of important tasks that the second base needs to urgently carry out in the coming time. In particular, quickly stabilize the organization, assign work, avoid interruption; promote the potential and strengths of the Gia Lai region today. All difficulties and problems related to key projects such as: CK54 residential area, Nam Pleiku Industrial Park, Dak Doa golf course... must be quickly resolved. Continue to promote digital transformation and administrative procedure reform.

Provincial Party Secretary Ho Quoc Dung suggested that Comrade Chau Ngoc Tuan work with localities again, re-identify key communes and wards to focus on investment in infrastructure,education , etc., creating highlights to attract investment. Each cadre and Party member should promote initiative, creativity, and be closely attached to the grassroots in the fastest and most effective way, completing assigned tasks in the best way; any issues beyond authority should be reported to the Standing Committee for resolution according to authority.

Speaking at the reception of the mission, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Chau Ngoc Tuan said: “As a person from Gia Lai (old), having certain attachments, understandings and feelings, with the assigned tasks, I will work closely with the leaders of the communes and wards of Gia Lai province for the goal of building Gia Lai (new) to maximize its potential and strengths, and unleash resources for the socio-economic development of the province. Personally, on behalf of 77 Party Committees of communes, wards and departments, I will cooperate, contribute and successfully carry out the assigned political tasks. Forming the 2nd base is to work, grasp the work, advise leaders and direct, so all cadres and party members implement the motto "3 days working at the office, 2 days going to the grassroots", the goal is "fastest, most concise".
