Notably, the film Skin Of Youth - the work in which 9X male star Vo Dien Gia Huy plays the male lead role - excellently received the Special Jury Award in the Uncaged category - the most important category at this year's Film Festival.

The award was unanimously approved by a panel of judges including Japanese-American actor Masumi, veteran action actor Tzi Ma, film producer Michael Werner, Chinese-Filipino actor Yao and Thai film producer Banjong Pisanthanakun.

In addition to positive reviews for the film, Vo Dien Gia Huy's performance as a boxer also received many compliments.

At the exchange session after the film's official premiere in the North American market, a Japanese critic assessed this as "a role that dares to go all the way with emotions" by Vo Dien Gia Huy.

Asian Movie Pulse gave a review: “Wu Tian Ka Fai brings a character that is both fierce and desperate, a body of stone but eyes that melt.” They called him the “physical soul” of the film, the one who keeps things from falling into excessive melodrama. Buttered Popcorn commented: “Wu Tian Ka Fai doesn’t just act with his body, he acts with an ache of his heart.”

Sharing about his role, the 9X male star said: “Each role is a time for me to return to the first day I started working in movies. Excited, grateful and living fully.”

He also admitted that he felt overwhelmed when he first set foot in the sleepless city of New York and moreover, he was able to fully breathe in the cinematic atmosphere here. He feels grateful for the opportunities that have come to him, grateful for the people who have believed in and accompanied him in each project.

After this role, audiences continue to wait for Vo Dien Gia Huy's reunion in Death Battle in the Air - a film about a real-life plane hijacking in Vietnam in the early years after the country's reunification. The film is scheduled to be released on September 19.
