When business owners change their perception
Recently, the Party Committee of Que Luu Commune (Hiep Duc) announced the decision to establish the Party Cell of Song Tranh 4 Hydropower Joint Stock Company. The Party Cell has 4 Party members, led by comrade Le Ho Vu - Head of the Operation Team of the Production Engineering Department, holding the position of Party Cell Secretary for the 2022 - 2025 term.
Before deciding to establish a party organization at the enterprise, Mr. Tran Hiep - Director of Song Tranh 4 Hydropower Joint Stock Company shared that due to lack of "clear" ideology, the company's leaders were initially concerned that they would be politically and organizationally constrained when discussing the development of the party organization. Then when the issue was raised, the party members were not ready to take on the position of party cell secretary.
However, through 3 working sessions with Hiep Duc District Party Committee and Que Luu Commune Party Committee, the company's leaders were clearly explained about issues related to developing party organizations in enterprises and agreed to establish the Party Cell of Song Tranh 4 Hydropower Joint Stock Company.
“We understand that party and mass organizations work together in production and business activities, and do not interfere deeply in the internal affairs of enterprises. We promise to create favorable conditions for party cells to develop and operate in accordance with the Party Charter and current guidelines,” said Mr. Hiep.
Having been in operation for more than 10 years, up to now, Son Sau Sang Production and Construction Company Limited (Que Son) has 15 party members, including the business owner.
Sharing about the difficulties that led to the failure to establish a party organization, according to Mr. Cao Truong Sang - Director of the company, he himself realized that establishing a party organization in the enterprise would create many favorable conditions for the company as well as the party members of the enterprise. Especially creating conditions for party members working at the company to participate in party activities fully and regularly.
At the same time, through party activities, assign tasks to party members, propagate and educate party members to comply with the Party's guidelines, policies and laws of the State; encourage party members to promote their spirit and responsibility, participate in patriotic movements, and actively contribute to the development of the enterprise.
“We hope that superiors will pay attention to creating a special mechanism for party organizations in enterprises, creating favorable conditions to help and provide specific guidance so that after establishment, enterprises can both develop production and perform well the task of building a clean and strong party organization; improve the quality of party activities and the quality of party members. From there, contribute to the locality in completing annual economic , political and social tasks,” Mr. Sang expressed.
Bridge between businesses and localities
The Steering Committee for building party and mass organizations in non-state enterprises in the province (referred to as the Provincial Steering Committee 80) acknowledged that, in addition to the achieved results, the work of developing party and mass organizations in non-state enterprises still faces difficulties.
The number of party organizations in non-state enterprises is quite modest: The whole province currently has 1,119 grassroots party organizations, of which only 45 are in non-state enterprises. Compared to the number of enterprises, the whole province currently has nearly 9,000 enterprises but only 0.5% of these enterprises have party organizations.
Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Board Nguyen Chin said that through a survey, there are currently more than 1,150 party members working in enterprises inside and outside the province participating in party activities at their place of residence.
Of these, 51 enterprises in the province have 3 or more party members but have not yet established a party organization; 216 enterprises have 1 to 2 party members participating in party activities at their place of residence.
Party organizations in enterprises today mostly have very few party members, some party cells have not developed party members for many years; most business owners are not party members, which also prevents party organizations from playing the role of political nucleus in enterprises.
“Practice from Party building work shows that having a Party organization in an enterprise not only creates favorable conditions for employees who are Party members to participate in Party activities more centrally and in a more suitable environment.
This also promotes the exemplary role of party members in labor, production and business, contributing to increasing profits and production and business efficiency of enterprises. Party organizations are also a bridge connecting enterprises more closely with local Party committees and authorities; reflecting the thoughts and aspirations of employees to business owners; accompanying enterprises to overcome difficulties.
Private enterprises with party organizations will also have higher awareness in carrying out their activities, comply with ethical standards in business, and develop more stably..." - Mr. Nguyen Chin emphasized.
The perception of business leaders is decisive.
According to Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Le Van Dung - Head of the Steering Committee of 80 provinces, the awareness of business owners and business leaders is decisive for the establishment of party and trade union organizations in enterprises.
If awareness is not good, even if it is established, it will not operate effectively. The Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress affirmed that the private economy is an important driving force of the economy. Resolution 41 dated October 10, 2023 of the Politburo also affirmed that the team of entrepreneurs has an important position and role, and is one of the core forces contributing to promoting industrialization, modernization and international integration.
Establishing and building party and union organizations and developing party and union members in the non-state sector are important tasks, both in the short and long term, contributing to building a rich and powerful country.
The district Party Committee and the District Steering Committee 80 continue to focus on doing a good job of propaganda work throughout the Party, especially in the business community to have a deep understanding of this work. At the same time, actively guide and mobilize to establish Party organizations, trade unions, and youth unions; promote the role and position of Party organizations, unions, and Party members and union members in enterprises to promote business development, effective business, create jobs, and increase income for workers. Thus, the establishment of Party organizations and unions in enterprises will be effective, promoting their responsibilities.
