Specifically, on August 29-30, information appeared on Facebook with the content "4 female employees of LG Display Vietnam Hai Phong Co., Ltd. engaged in prostitution, causing the spread of HIV to many people and were arrested ".

The above information is shared through many groups on the social networking site Facebook.

Upon receiving the information, the People's Committee of An Duong district directed the district police and the district Department of Culture and Information to grasp the situation, check and review the information spread.

The local government also assigned the district police to coordinate with professional units of Hai Phong City Police to verify and handle according to regulations.

Afterwards, the district police directly went down to work with the functional departments of LG Display Vietnam Hai Phong Co., Ltd. and related individuals.

Through working with relevant people and initial verification, the police determined that the four female workers claimed to have been slandered. The information posted and spread on social media was inaccurate.

To prove it, three female workers presented "negative" rapid HIV test results. The remaining female worker was 30 weeks pregnant and therefore did not undergo testing.

All four victims requested that the authorities strictly handle those who post and share false information, affecting the honor and reputation of each person.

Through screening and professional measures, An Duong District Police have determined that in the district, there are people posting and sharing unverified content, distorting the incident related to LG Display Vietnam Hai Phong Company Limited.

On the morning of August 31, An Duong District Police invited D.THN (registered residence in Hong Thai Commune, An Duong District, currently residing in Phu Lien Ward, Kien An District, Hai Phong), the owner of a Facebook account named "Dang N", to come in for questioning.

At the police station, D.THN admitted to posting unverified and distorted content on his personal Facebook page about four female employees of LG Display Vietnam Hai Phong Co., Ltd.

N.'s behavior has caused confusion in public opinion, affecting the image, reputation, honor, and dignity of the above individuals, which is a violation of the law.

An Duong police have drawn up a record, completed the file and issued a decision to administratively fine D.THN 7.5 million VND according to the law.

The police also forced D.THN to remove and correct false information on his personal page.
