In recent years, the management, preservation and promotion of the value of historical - cultural relics and scenic spots in the province have received attention from all levels and sectors, not only contributing to educating patriotic traditions but also making Cao Bang an attractive destination for tourists inside and outside the province.

The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism advises the Provincial People's Committee to issue regulations on management, protection and promotion of cultural heritage values in the province. Coordinate with relevant departments and branches to propagate and disseminate to raise awareness of cadres, civil servants and people of all walks of life about the significance and role of preserving and promoting the values of historical - cultural relics and scenic spots; propagate people to understand and practice civilized lifestyles in festival activities at relic sites in many diverse and rich forms, contributing to raising awareness and sense of responsibility of individuals and collectives for the protection and preservation of relics and scenic spots. The province continues to preserve, embellish and promote the value of revolutionary historical relics; Promote the application of information technology and digital technology in building a database to manage, preserve, exploit and promote the value of historical relics and cultural heritages, creating attractive cultural tourism products, contributing to promoting economic and social growth and development.

The work of restoring, embellishing relics, managing, protecting and promoting the value of relics and scenic spots has been effectively implemented by sectors and localities. Every year, from the capital source of the national target program, the provincial budget and socialized sources for the restoration and embellishment of ranked relics, priority is given to investment in preserving and embellishing nationally ranked relics, unique traditional art forms and typical festivals. Specialized units apply traditional means and techniques combined with modern techniques to restore and prevent deterioration of relics in order to preserve the original elements bearing the identity and unique characteristics of the relics. For relics that can be exploited and serve tourism , the province promotes synchronous investment in infrastructure, connecting relics with scenic spots to create a diverse closed complex. Currently, most of the relics have been invested, upgraded and expanded in scale but still retain their inherent traditional features, well serving the needs of tourists and the needs of religious activities of all classes of people. The research, preservation, restoration of traditional festivals and guidance of traditional festivals associated with the province's key relics are operating in the right direction and increasingly promoting the traditional cultural identity of the locality, creating efficiency in the management, preservation and promotion of the value of historical - cultural relics, scenic spots, attracting tourists.

The whole province currently has 271 historical - cultural relics and scenic spots with 103 relics ranked at all levels, including 3 special national relics, 26 national relics, 74 provincial relics; 2 national treasures (Ma Nhai Ngu Che stele of King Le Thai To engraved on Phja Tem mountain, dated Tan Hoi year - 1431 and the pair of bells of Da Quan pagoda - also known as Vien Minh pagoda, dated 1611 under the Mac dynasty, currently preserved at Da Quan pagoda relic site, Thuc Phan ward).

Many relics and scenic spots have become attractive tourist destinations, attracting visitors from inside and outside the province, contributing to the development of local socio-economy, such as: Pac Bo National Special Relic Site; Tran Hung Dao Forest National Special Relic Site; 1950 Border Victory National Special Relic Site; Truc Lam Ban Gioc Buddhist Temple, scenic spots such as Ban Gioc Waterfall, Nguom Ngao Cave, Phja Oac Eco-tourism Area, Thang Hen Lake Complex, famous traditional craft villages, etc.

Pac Bo landscape, along with the embellishment of artistic design, arrangement of flowers and ornamental plants on the grounds and paths, makes the landscape always new. That harmonious interweaving makes Pac Bo a colorful natural picture associated with protecting the ecological environment.

The value of historical - cultural relics and scenic spots is not only a place to organize festivals and serve tourism but also a "red address" to educate the people, especially the young generation, about the history, sacrifices and achievements of their ancestors, thereby fostering patriotism and a sense of responsibility for the homeland. Strengthen propaganda work for people in communes and wards with potential for tourism development associated with preserving the current status of scenic spots and landscapes. Guide localities to properly apply the provisions of the Law on Cultural Heritage in preserving and promoting the value of cultural heritage in the province, contributing to raising awareness and changing community behavior.

Nong Hoai Thuong, a 10th grade student at Cao Binh High School, said: Visiting the 1950 Border Victory National Special Relic Site in Duc Long Commune, I admire and am proud of the glorious victory of our army and people in the 1950 Border Campaign, an important victory in the resistance war against French colonialism. I could not help but be moved when witnessing the images, artifacts, and stories about the sacrifices of the heroic martyrs, those who did not hesitate to shed their blood for the Fatherland.

To continue promoting the value of historical - cultural relics and scenic spots, the province focuses on the conservation and restoration of relics. Strengthen propaganda and education among the people, especially the young generation, about the value and significance of relic sites and locations in the area; coordinate with schools to organize experiential and extracurricular activities for students. Increase the mobilization of investment capital and contributions from the people to protect, restore and promote the value of historical - cultural relics and scenic spots.
