Discovered a business dumping and burying more than 100 tons of solid waste into the environment

On June 11, Quang Ngai Provincial Police inspected and handled a business that dumped and buried solid waste into the environment in violation of regulations.

Accordingly, the Department of Investigation Police on Corruption, Economic Crimes , Smuggling, and Environmental Crimes of Quang Ngai Provincial Police, in coordination with functional units, conducted a surprise inspection on environmental protection of L. Joint Stock Company in Binh Nguyen Commune, Binh Son District, Quang Ngai Province.

The inspection results found that the company had illegally dumped and buried solid waste (suspected to be waste containing hazardous components) into the soil environment with a volume of over 100 tons and illegally discharged wastewater into the environment. The inspection team took 4 samples of waste for monitoring, verification and clarification.

Previously, the Department of Investigation Police on Corruption, Economic Crimes, Smuggling, and Environmental Crimes of Quang Ngai Province Police also discovered and administratively sanctioned two cases: BT Company Limited (La Ha Industrial Park, Tu Nghia District) and VD Company Limited (Tinh Phong Commune, Son Tinh District) for dumping ordinary industrial solid waste into the soil environment in violation of environmental protection regulations.
