Announcing the answers to the subjects of the 2025 High School Graduation Exam

On the afternoon of July 6, the Ministry of Education and Training announced the answers to the 2025 high school graduation exams according to the 2018 General Education Program and the 2006 General Education Program.

This year, the answers were announced later. Previously, after the end of the 2025 High School Graduation Exam, some information about the answers to the Literature subject appeared on social networks. At that time, the Ministry of Education and Training issued a notice confirming that it had not yet announced the official answers to any exam subjects.

According to the preparation plan for the 2025 High School Graduation Exam, the exam results will be announced at 8:00 a.m. on July 16.

Before that, the work of organizing the exam marking, summarizing the exam marking, sending exam result data to the Ministry of Education and Training, and comparing exam results will be completed no later than 5:00 p.m. on July 13.

Checking the high school graduation exam marking work

Last week, Permanent Deputy Minister of Education and Training Pham Ngoc Thuong - Head of the National Steering Committee for the 2025 High School Graduation Exam and his working delegation inspected the exam marking work in a number of localities.

Reporting to the Deputy Minister and the working delegation on July 2, the Department of Education and Training of Bac Ninh province said that in the context of merging two-level local governments from July 1, the Department has proactively advised the Provincial People's Committee to complete the Steering Committee for the 2025 High School Graduation Exam and the Bac Ninh Provincial Examination Board, on the basis of utilizing resources from the Examination Steering Committees of the two provinces of Bac Giang (old) and Bac Ninh (old). Accordingly, the two Examination Boards will continue to be held at the two locations as before.

Preparations for the organization of the exam marking were carried out on schedule, closely following the plan of the Steering Committee for the 2025 High School Graduation Exam and the guidance documents of the Ministry of Education and Training. Training, dissemination of content and dissemination of exam marking regulations were carried out seriously and methodically.

In the first days of the exam marking, in general, the staff and teachers participating in the marking basically met the professional requirements; the difference in scores between the two examiners was within the allowable limit and there was no need to invite a third examiner. The marking was carried out seriously, in accordance with regulations, acknowledging the efforts of the candidates.

During the inspection, Permanent Deputy Minister Pham Ngoc Thuong commented that the facilities at the exam marking locations were well prepared, the departments were arranged methodically, scientifically and in accordance with regulations; from the sign system, human resources to the implementation methods were all seriously implemented.

Regarding professional work, Bac Ninh province has fully implemented the instructions of the Ministry of Education and Training, organizing thorough training for officials participating in marking exams.

For the essay subject, there was an exchange, discussion and agreement on the scoring method throughout the implementation process. Any problems or difficulties that arose were promptly detected and reported for adjustment and handling, in order to ensure the highest benefits for candidates.

The Deputy Minister emphasized that the exam marking must accurately reflect the test results of the candidates, and at the same time, recognize their efforts and attempts.

In addition, the Deputy Minister noted some important contents, which is to continue to carry out the marking of exams according to the set plan. The process of marking and marking multiple-choice and essay exams must be strictly implemented according to the regulations and procedures...

On July 3, Deputy Minister Pham Ngoc Thuong and the working delegation inspected the exam marking work in Ninh Binh.

Vice Chairman of Ninh Binh Provincial People's Committee Ha Lan Anh, Head of the Steering Committee for the 2025 High School Graduation Exam of the province, said: In the past, despite the large amount of work in the process of transferring and arranging the two-level local government, the province determined that the organization of the High School Graduation Exam, especially the marking stage, is extremely important.

Therefore, as soon as the merger decision was made on July 1, the province promptly completed the Provincial Examination Steering Committee, the Examination Council and the Committees under the Examination Council, continued to carry out tasks and work at the locations where the work was being carried out.

According to Director of the Department of Education and Training of Ninh Binh Province Nguyen Tien Dung, up to now, the exam marking work at the Nam Dinh Examination Council has ensured safety and followed regulations. The exam marking work is expected to be completed on July 10, with the spirit of not forcing progress, marking seriously, fairly, following regulations and putting the interests of candidates first.

Acknowledging the timely and thorough implementation of leadership and direction of Ninh Binh province, the Deputy Minister requested the Provincial Steering Committee for the Examination to continue to maintain comprehensive and unified direction among the 3 Examination Boards. Clearly assign focal points, transparent and synchronous information reporting regime, ensuring smooth coordination and unity in the progress and content of the examination.

The Deputy Minister also noted that progress must be strictly controlled, but absolutely not forced, or done carelessly, causing errors. It is necessary to closely follow the set plan, maximize the regulatory role of the team leader of each grading team, and avoid doing things too quickly, leading to carelessness...

53rd ASEAN Ministers of Education Meeting

On July 1 and 2, 2025, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Phuc led a delegation of the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam to attend the 53rd Southeast Asian Education Ministers' Conference in Brunei Darussalam.

Attending this Conference were representatives of the Ministries of Education of 11 member countries, the Secretariat of the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Council (SEAMEO), Directors of 26 SEAMEO Centers and representatives of regional and international partner countries.

At the Conference, the Minister of Education of Brunei Darussalam was officially elected as the Chairman of the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Council (SEAMEO) for the 2025–2027 term and assumed the role of Chair of the 53rd Conference. The Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam was elected as Vice Chairman of the Council, thereby gradually preparing to assume the role of rotating Chairman for the 2027–2029 term.

Within the framework of the Conference, Deputy Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Van Phuc chaired Session 2 - The 7th Education Strategy Dialogue with the theme "Green Education". Here, the Deputy Minister shared with delegates about Vietnam's green education strategy in the context of responding to climate change and promoting sustainable development.

According to the Deputy Minister, Vietnam is actively implementing the Green Growth Strategy for the 2021-2030 period, which identifies education as a key factor in transforming thinking and forming a skilled, creative workforce that can adapt to the green economy. The Ministry of Education and Training has launched the "Green Education - Green Sports" program with many specific activities such as: Green Voice, Green School, promoting tree planting, energy saving, integrating environmental education into the curriculum and extracurricular activities.

The “Green School” model is based on the 7R principle, which is: Rethink; Refuse; Reduce; Reuse; Recycle; Repair and Replace. The “Green Schools” that are being replicated not only reduce the environmental burden, but also help improve learning efficiency, helping the younger generation realize the sustainable value of the living environment.

For universities and vocational education, training programs are being innovated towards developing green human resources to meet the requirements of a sustainable economy. The Ministry of Education and Training also focuses on promoting cooperation between the State, businesses and training institutions to increase practicality, improve training quality and learners' adaptability to the green labor market.

At the Dialogue, delegates unanimously adopted a Joint Statement, emphasizing the commitment to prioritizing green education as a transformation strategy for a sustainable future.

Also within the framework of the Conference, the delegation of the Ministry of Education and Training attended thematic sessions, sharing about the innovations in Vietnam's education in recent times. The delegation introduced the outstanding results of Vietnamese students in international competency assessment programs such as SEA-PLM and PISA, and emphasized the orientation of developing the "happy school" model to care for students' mental health, especially in the post-COVID-19 pandemic context.

At the end of the event, the Head of the Vietnamese delegation called on Southeast Asian countries to strengthen cooperation and join hands to implement the green education action plan, towards building a sustainable learning space and community for the future of the region. The delegates agreed to meet again in Vietnam in 2027, when the Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training assumes the role of rotating Chair and chair of the Southeast Asian Education Ministers' Meeting.

Hanoi announces exam scores and benchmark scores for grade 10 admission

The 10th grade benchmark scores were announced by the Hanoi Department of Education and Training on the evening of July 4. This is the total score of three subjects: Math, Literature and Foreign Language. This is the first year that Hanoi announced the benchmark scores as soon as the exam scores were available.

According to the announcement, 17 high schools increased their benchmark scores compared to last year. Of which, Doan Ket - Hai Ba Trung High School increased the most with 2.17 points.

There are 95 schools that have reduced their benchmark scores; most of the reductions are less than 1 point. Tho Xuan High School and Phuc Loi High School have had larger reductions. Notably, in some schools, students only need to score over 3 points per subject to pass.

The highest benchmark scores belong to Kim Lien High School and Le Quy Don High School - Ha Dong with 25.5 points. Next are Viet Duc High School and Phan Dinh Phung High School with 25.25 points.

Like Hanoi, Lai Chau also simultaneously announced the benchmark scores along with the exam scores.

Previously, many localities had announced the 10th grade entrance exam scores. Bac Lieu was the first locality to complete and announce the exam scores the earliest on the evening of June 3. Lai Chau, Quang Tri and Dien Bien also announced the results on June 8 and 9, respectively.

In Ho Chi Minh City, the 10th grade benchmark scores for 2025 of 109 high schools were announced on the afternoon of June 26. Many schools reduced their benchmark scores by about 0.25-4.75.
