"Polish farmers stopped the blockade near the Krakivets border crossing on the night of March 8 and the morning of March 9, but signaled that they would resume the blockade around March 13," Ukrainska Pravda quoted Ukrainian Border Guard Service spokesman Andrii Demchenko as saying.
Five other border crossings between the two countries remain blocked, the official added, with about 1,700 trucks stuck.
"Although the Krakivets border gate has been unblocked, traffic is still difficult, with trucks still lining up to wait for customs clearance from Poland to Ukraine," said Mr. Demchenko.
Polish protesters have allowed a small number of trucks to move across the Ukrainian border, Mr Demchenko added.
Polish farmers have blocked the border with Ukraine since November, protesting against European Union (EU) rules that allow Ukrainian farmers to sell grain within the bloc without paying taxes or complying with strict Brussels regulations. The EU also scrapped a requirement that Ukrainian transport companies obtain licenses to operate.
Not only blocking the border with Ukraine, Polish farmers also organized protests at the border with Lithuania because they believed Kiev was taking advantage of the Baltic country to circumvent the blockade.
