On the afternoon of June 26, the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City announced the regular 10th grade benchmark scores of 109 public high schools. As predicted by Dan Tri earlier, most schools reduced their benchmark scores due to factors such as: The number of candidates taking the exam has decreased sharply, leading to an increase in the admission rate and a decrease in the competition rate; at the same time, the high scores this year have also decreased...
According to quick statistics, 77/108 schools reduced their benchmark scores (accounting for 71.3%), an increase of more than 15% compared to last year. In addition, 20 schools increased their benchmark scores and 11 schools remained unchanged.
Binh Tri Dong B High School (Hoang The Thien High School) is recruiting for the first time so there is no comparison yet.
The benchmark scores for grade 10 in Ho Chi Minh City in 2025 are showing a sharp downward trend even at top schools. Notably, Nguyen Thuong Hien High School, which has been in the top position for many years, had to "give up the throne" to come in third place.
Leading the way is Tran Dai Nghia Secondary and High School, with a jump from 20th place to first place. Following that is Nguyen Thi Minh Khai High School, maintaining its position in the top 2.
At the top of the rankings, there are also Nguyen Thi Dinh, Long Thoi, Pham Phu Thu, and Tan Thong Hoi High Schools for Gifted Sports.

The biggest surprise was at Gia Dinh High School, where the benchmark score dropped 4.25 points, from 23 to 18.75. This caused the school's ranking to drop sharply from 6th to 28th. This is the first time in many years that the benchmark score of this school has fallen out of the top 10.
Other cases are Nguyen Thi Dieu High School, which dropped 27 places, Nguyen Hien and Cu Chi High School, which dropped 23 places.

Last year, Nguyen Thuong Hien High School led the rankings with 24.25 points, down 1.25 points compared to 2023. Following that were the next three schools with 23.25 points: Nguyen Thi Minh Khai, Nguyen Huu Huan, and Tran Phu High Schools.
