TPO - A high school graduation exam candidate in Ho Chi Minh City whose vehicle broke down and he could not get to the exam location was supported to take the exam at another location.

On the morning of June 27, during the elective exam for the 2025 high school graduation exam, a candidate in Ho Chi Minh City encountered a special situation when his car broke down in the middle of the road and he could not reach the exam location on time.

That candidate is Le Quoc (student of Han Thuyen High School, Phu Nhuan District). This male student lives in Binh Chanh District, registered to take the exam at Phu Nhuan High School (Phu Nhuan District). On the way, his car suddenly broke down, Quoc quickly stopped at the nearest exam site, Vinh Loc High School (Binh Tan District) and asked to... take the exam for someone else.

Immediately, the Head of the examination site reported the incident to the Ho Chi Minh City Graduation Examination Council. Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training Nguyen Van Hieu directed that candidates be allowed to take the exam at this examination site to ensure their rights.

The Examination Council will check the information, arrange the National Exam in a spare room, make a record, seal the exam papers and send them to the Examination Council according to regulations.

Mr. Ho Tan Minh, Chief of Office of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, said that this was a rare situation that had never happened before, but it was handled flexibly and promptly so as not to affect the rights of candidates.

Also in the morning, at the Nguyen Thai Binh Secondary School (District 6) testing site, a candidate was discovered using a phone. However, the incident was discovered early so there was no leaking of the exam questions.

According to quick statistics from the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, this morning (June 27), elective subject 1 had 97,050 candidates taking the exam, 384 candidates were absent, reaching a rate of 99.6%. Elective subject 2 had 95,492 candidates taking the exam, 152 were absent, the exam rate reached 99.84%.
