The 2025 high school graduation exam has been planned in detail by the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) with specific timelines, ensuring progress and strict organization. Below is the main information about the exam.
Schedule for organizing and announcing the results of the 2025 high school graduation exam
No later than 11:30 a.m. on June 28, 2025: Examination councils must complete updating the summary report of data and examination status into the management system.
No later than 5:00 p.m. on July 13, 2025: Provincial steering committees and examination councils shall summarize the examination marking work and send the results data to the Ministry of Education and Training .
8:00 a.m. July 16, 2025: The Ministry of Education and Training announces exam results, 1 day earlier than in 2024.
No later than July 18, 2025: Departments of Education and Training consider recognizing high school graduation.
No later than July 22, 2025: Complete the issuance of temporary graduation certificates, exam result certificates, return of transcripts and related certificates to candidates.
From July 16 to July 25, 2025: Exam registration units receive appeal applications and make appeal lists.
No later than August 3, 2025: Examination councils will organize exam review (if any).
No later than August 8, 2025: Departments of Education and Training will consider recognizing high school graduation after review.
Outstanding features of the 2025 high school graduation exam
The 2025 high school graduation exam is a special exam with differences in the program and number of subjects:
Two sets of exam questions: The exam is designed specifically for two groups of candidates following two differenteducational programs:
Program 2006: Includes 9 subjects.
2018 Program: Includes 13 subjects.
Record number of subjects: A total of 14 subjects, marking the largest-scale exam ever.
The exam is not only an important milestone to assess students' abilities but also demonstrates innovation in the organization and implementation of the Ministry of Education and Training, to meet the requirements of two different educational programs.
