Nguyen Van Lai breaks the full marathon record of the VnExpress Marathon system

The energetic running steps helped Nguyen Van Lai reach the finish line with a time displayed on the finish gate clock of 2 hours 25 minutes 5 seconds, breaking the 42 km distance record of VnExpress Marathon set by Trinh Quoc Luong at VnExpress Marathon Hanoi Midnight 2020 (2 hours 31 minutes).

However, this achievement still did not satisfy Nguyen Van Lai. He said that in cold weather conditions and with direct competitors, the achievement may not stop at just a new record. "My future goal is to continue running under 2 hours 25 minutes," he said.
