Ho Chi Minh City residents happily receive Independence Day gifts

On the morning of September 1, many people in Ho Chi Minh City were excited to receive gift money on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2 according to Resolution No. 263/NQ-CP dated August 29, 2025 of the Government.

According to reporters in the wards of Ben Thanh, Gia Dinh, Phu Tho , Xuan Hoa..., many people were excited to receive money on the occasion of National Day, September 2.

Elderly people are moved to receive Independence Day money.

Mr. Thanh Hoang in Ben Thanh Ward, Ho Chi Minh City said he was very happy to come with his neighbors to receive Independence Day gifts. Although the amount of 100,000 VND per person was small, his family of 6 received a total of 600,000 VND and enjoyed the holiday with his whole family.

Ben Thanh ward residents excitedly received gifts on the occasion of National Day September 2.

“I would like to sincerely thank the Party, State and Government for caring for the people during these happy days of the nation,” Mr. Hoang happily said.

On the radiant face of Ms. Minh Trang in Phu Tho ward, Ho Chi Minh city, when holding the newly received money in her hand, she said that her family of 4 received 400,000 VND.

"I am so happy to receive money from the Party, State and Government during the September 2nd holiday," Ms. Trang said excitedly.

Meanwhile, in Tan Son Nhat Ward, people happily went to the National Day gift receiving point. Having just received 500,000 VND for her family of 5, Ms. Bich Hoa in Tan Son Nhat Ward took a photo to keep as a souvenir. Ms. Hoa said that in her 40 years of life, this was the first time she received a special gift on a major national holiday.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Danh, Vice Chairman of Tan Son Nhat Ward People's Committee, said that the ward has made careful preparations to ensure that the September 2nd gift giving to the people takes place smoothly and safely. In the spirit of giving gifts from the country to the people on the occasion of Independence Day, the ward has established 33 working groups to give money to people in 33 neighborhoods. Officials, civil servants, neighborhoods and police forces have been ready to serve the people early.

On August 31, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee issued a decision on supplementing the state budget estimate for 2025. This source of funding is used to implement the gift-giving policy for people according to Resolution No. 263/NQ-CP dated August 29, 2025 of the Government.
