Medical work is ready for the A80 Great Festival

Since last night (August 31), many people have spread tarps and sat on most of the streets where the parade passed by, waiting until the morning of September 2. The Hanoi Department of Health mobilized 370 officers, 37 ambulances and cars, divided into 94 emergency medical teams to serve the 80th Anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day (September 2) (A80).

At the medical inspection for the A80 event this afternoon, September 1, at Thong Nhat Park, Le Duan - Nguyen Thai Hoc Street and Hang Day Stadium, Deputy Director of Hanoi Department of Health Tran Van Chung acknowledged and highly appreciated the preparations of the units, from human resources, vehicles, equipment to medicine, ensuring the deployment of the right positions and assigned plans.

At Thong Nhat Park, the medical station managed by Hai Ba Trung Ward Medical Station has arranged 3 emergency teams to serve the parade participants and the people. Each team has 3 medical staff , ensuring readiness to handle emergency situations.

To ensure medical care for delegates, parade participants and people participating in the ceremony, the Ministry of Health has mobilized more than 1,000 doctors and medical staff on duty, including the participation of many central and Hanoi hospitals.

The total number of military medical forces participating in the medical mission of the A80 event is 317 people, 56 ambulances with full equipment, medicine, and medical supplies according to regulations; 14 military medical stations were set up, including 2 emergency, treatment and resuscitation centers, 4 emergency tents deployed at the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Command; 8 emergency tents deployed at 8 locations to ensure military medical support for parades, street parades, and assembly areas. Ready to deploy classification, emergency, treatment, and transportation in case of mass emergency situations...

The medical tent of the Traditional Medicine Hospital of the Ministry of Public Security is ready for the A80 Grand Ceremony.

The Public Security Medical Service deployed 9 emergency tents, 40 medical teams, 17 ambulances and 264 medical staff and drivers, coordinating with other forces to be ready for emergency work.

The A stand area of ​​Ba Dinh Square has an ICU Center managed by the 108 Military Central Hospital and Bach Mai Hospital, with ventilators, ECMO, leading doctors and experts on duty there.

According to Mr. Vu Cao Cuong, Deputy Director of Hanoi Department of Health, A80 Operation Center is located at 115 Emergency Center; the main emergency center is Xanh Pon General Hospital, Hanoi Heart Hospital; and medical facilities in the area.

The Hanoi Department of Health arranged 27 teams on duty in Ba Dinh Square, including 16 teams on stands B and C; 2 main emergency tents on Doc Lap - Hoang Van Thu and Doc Lap - Ton That Dam streets; 2 on duty points after the security control station on Bac Son street; 7 ambulance teams responsible for ensuring medical response for delegates at stands B and C.

Mobile emergency equipment was ready for the ceremony.

At hospitals, a mobile emergency team is permanently stationed at the unit, ready to provide emergency care and transport patients when requested; 5-10 hospital beds are prepared to serve activities in case of unusual situations.

Each emergency team has 1 doctor, 2 nurses, 1 ambulance with full equipment, emergency medicine, and necessary equipment ready to participate in performing medical duties at the locations of the activities. Coordinate with medical stations and related units to handle isolation, treatment, and transportation of cases of infectious diseases.

According to the reporter, since last night, people have been spreading mats and tarpaulins to wait to watch the parade. Sitting and holding seats on Kim Ma Street since the evening of August 31, a family in Ngoc Ha Ward (Hanoi) said that their family of more than 10 people spread out 2 large tarpaulins on the sidewalk of Kim Ma Street at dusk. To stay until the morning of September 2, the family assigned groups (1-2) of people to take turns guarding the seats.

According to our observations, since the evening of August 31, many children have been allowed by their parents to sit with them to reserve seats, most of them not wearing masks in the dense traffic of dust and gasoline fumes.

Because people reserved seats to watch the parade earlier than usual, Major Vuong Tu Oanh, Deputy Head of the General Planning and Medical Equipment Department, Hanoi Police Hospital, said that to ensure medical care for the people, the hospital's two medical tents were deployed earlier than usual.

Many cases of injury while watching parades and marches.

Due to the rainy weather, the hospital arranged to place medicine boxes to prevent rainwater from entering the tent, and to place electrical outlets and medical equipment to prevent rainwater from entering the tent; the windows were covered with plastic with drains to prevent water from entering the tent. The hospital also arranged a dryer to heat up people whose clothes were wet when entering the emergency tent; and there were blankets to cover patients who got cold from the rain.

Dr. Chu Duc Thanh, in charge of the medical tent of the 19-8 Hospital at Ba Dinh Square, said that by this evening, the medical emergency preparations for the Great Ceremony had been completed. At Ba Dinh Square, the 19-8 Hospital set up two tents, one for initial first aid and the other for basic treatment and intensive care.

The medical tent of Hospital 19-8 on Doc Lap Street receives many cases for examination and emergency treatment.

This tent is equipped almost like a miniature ICU, fully equipped with ventilators, defibrillators, monitors, electrocardiographs, oxygen tanks, portable suction machines, injection carts, mobile ambulances... and many other modern devices that can handle everything from basic emergencies such as fainting, heatstroke, convulsions, trauma, to serious situations such as arrhythmia, respiratory failure, or underlying diseases... even the entire force of vehicles is ready for advanced cardiac arrest.

The 19-8 Hospital medical tent received first aid from delegates, officers, soldiers, performing forces and people present at the event.

Due to the unpredictable weather, to ensure emergency care, Hospital 19-8 has been equipped with an electric shock machine. The tent that was originally used to treat heatstroke and sunstroke can now be used as a shelter from the rain.

According to the Department of Health (Ministry of Public Security), by tonight, medical preparations for the Great Ceremony have been completed. The Public Security Medical Force is ready to support, examine, provide first aid, and ensure the health safety of delegates, parade participants, and people participating.
