According to Daily Mail , the incident occurred on August 19 at Las Postas bar (Los Palacios y Villafranca town, Sevilla province, Spain). Security cameras recorded the scene of a man carrying a 1.5-liter plastic bottle containing gasoline, pouring it directly onto the bar counter and lighting it on fire. In just a moment, the fire flared up fiercely, causing customers and staff to rush away.
Metro reported that the man had come to the restaurant with his son and ordered two sandwiches. When he asked the staff about mayonnaise, he was told the restaurant was out of it.
Not believing him, he asked another employee and received the same response. In a fit of rage, he left and returned with a bottle of gasoline bought from a nearby gas station, poured it on the counter and asked, “Are you sure there’s no mayonnaise?”, before lighting it on fire.

“Both employees said we didn’t have mayonnaise because we didn’t have a kitchen,” said Jose Antonio Caballero, the owner of the restaurant. “The bread was already prepared and there was no sauce. But he came back with a bottle of gasoline and set it on fire in front of everyone.”
The incident left several people with minor injuries, including a waiter, an elderly person, and a child. The suspect also suffered burns to his hands from the fire he started. The restaurant staff used a fire extinguisher to control the fire and prevent it from spreading.
The total material damage and loss of revenue to the restaurant is estimated at around 7,000 euros (about more than 200 million VND). The man was arrested by authorities near the scene after being chased by a restaurant employee.
He was taken to a medical center to be treated for burns to his hands and is being held in custody awaiting trial on charges of arson, destruction of property and endangering the welfare of others.
