According to regulations of the Ministry of Health , emergency treatment must be performed on the basis of assessment, classification and application of technical and professional measures appropriate to the patient's condition.

In case the patient is a minor, emergency treatment will be carried out according to the decision of the representative. If there is no representative, the decision will be carried out according to the professional responsibility or the direct leader of the medical examination and treatment facility.

In case it is necessary to apply emergency measures without the consent of the representative, the person in charge of professional expertise of the medical examination and treatment facility or the person in charge of the medical examination and treatment facility has the right to decide.

According to instructions from some medical facilities, when entering the emergency room, patients and their families need to bring a chip-embedded citizen identification card with integrated health insurance information; health insurance information should be integrated with VNeID.

In case of emergency, if you do not have time to bring your ID card, medical staff will assist in handling it first, then provide additional documents.
