Special art program Ho Chi Minh City - Shining new era is performed by the City Art Center, directed by the Organizing Committee for celebrating major city holidays.
This activity celebrates the 327th anniversary of the formation of Saigon - Cho Lon - Gia Dinh - Ho Chi Minh City (1698 - 2025) and the 49th anniversary of Saigon - Gia Dinh City officially being honored to be named after President Ho Chi Minh (July 2, 1976 - July 2, 2025); welcoming the new Ho Chi Minh City after Ho Chi Minh City merged with Binh Duong and Ba Ria - Vung Tau.
Recreating the history of the Southern land
According to the organizers, the art program consists of three parts: Radiant South, Heroic Land, Uncle Ho's City Entering a New Era, directed by the director to recreate the flow of history, culture, and people of the South from the early days of opening up the land to a modern, dynamic, and integrated urban area.
Songs bearing historical marks, also familiar songs praising the Fatherland and homeland, will be renewed to serve the audience: My Fatherland has never been so beautiful, Love for the red soil of the East, Oh beloved life, New era in Uncle Ho's city, In the middle of the East-West highway...
Participating and performing the above songs are artists Ta Minh Tam, Trong Phuc, Huu Quoc, Khanh Ngoc, Hong Tham, singers Hien Thuc, Uyen Linh, Quoc Dai...
The program is expected to start at 7:00 p.m. on June 30, at the main stage on Nguyen Hue walking street, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City.

Many art activities serve the people
The art program is one of the activities in the series of activities to celebrate the 327th anniversary of the formation of Saigon - Cho Lon - Gia Dinh - Ho Chi Minh City and the 49th anniversary of Saigon - Gia Dinh City officially being honored to be named after President Ho Chi Minh; welcoming the new Ho Chi Minh City.
The series of events was organized by the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee from June 27 to July 1. The festival opened on the evening of June 27.
During the above time, the stages on Nguyen Hue walking street will host the following activities: Circus performances, amateur music, fashion shows; organizing performances, competitions and exchanges of traditional sports, physical games; drum performances, lion and dragon dances, vovinam, traditional martial arts, etc.
Some other activities:
- 7:00 p.m. June 28, ceremony to honor exemplary Cultural and Happy Families, at the main stage of Nguyen Hue walking street.
- 7:00 p.m. on June 29, the ceremony to announce and award the decision to recognize OCOP products in 2024 within the framework of the city-level New Rural Culture and Sports Festival.
- 8:00 a.m. on June 30, the ceremony to announce resolutions and decisions of the Central and local governments on the arrangement of administrative units at the provincial and communal levels and the establishment of the new Ho Chi Minh City, at the Ho Chi Minh City Academy of Officials.
- 7:00 p.m. on July 1, the announcement and award ceremony of the 4th Ho Chi Minh City Creativity Awards 2025, at the main stage of Nguyen Hue walking street.
