On the afternoon of June 28, the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City coordinated with the Ho Chi Minh City Cultural Heritage Association and the Tran Van Khe Scholarship Fund to organize the program "Tran Van Khe - A life with traditional music " at the Ho Chi Minh City Museum (65 Ly Tu Trong, Ben Nghe Ward, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City).
During his lifetime, Professor Tran Van Khe was a leading scholar and music researcher in Vietnam, who devoted his life to preserving, propagating and bringing traditional national music to the world .
On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), Professor, Dr. Tran Van Khe is one of 60 outstanding individuals honored by Ho Chi Minh City for their contributions to the cause of building, protecting and developing the City in the period 1975 - 2025.

With his dedication and special talent in inspiring traditional music, Professor Tran Van Khe is not only a great researcher but also a bridge between tradition and modernity, between Vietnam and the world. His career and personality will always be an example for future generations in preserving and promoting national cultural values.
Over the past 10 years, Professor Tran Van Khe's group of friends has strived to carry out his last wishes, with deep support from his family, including his sons: Professor Tran Quang Hai (1944 - 2021) and Architect Tran Quang Minh. The group has launched the book "Tran Van Khe - Mind and Career", organized a program to celebrate the 99th anniversary of the Professor's birth and a talk show "Cultural lessons from Professor Tran Van Khe" at Van Lang University...
In 2021, the Tran Van Khe Scholarship Fund was established. In 2023, the first Tran Van Khe Awards and Scholarships were presented with 9 scholarships and 6 prizes. Currently, the group of friends is continuing to raise funds to prepare for the second award ceremony.

In the memorial and art program “Tran Van Khe - A life with national music”, delegates and friends had the opportunity to recall the memories and positive and effective contributions of Professor Dr. Tran Van Khe to Vietnamese culture and art.
