On the evening of August 26, the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention - Search and Rescue and Civil Defense issued Official Dispatch No. 208, directing proactive measures to respond to low pressure that is likely to strengthen into a tropical depression, heavy rain, and the risk of flash floods and landslides.

This is an official dispatch implementing the direction of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment in Official Dispatch No. 6020, dated August 26, on proactively responding to heavy rain, the risk of flash floods and landslides; Official Dispatch No. 6079, dated August 26, on proactively responding to low pressure areas that are likely to strengthen into tropical depressions.

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, a low pressure area is currently active in the sea east of the Philippines. At 1:00 p.m. on August 26, the low pressure area was located at about 15.5-16.5 degrees North latitude, 123.5-124.5 degrees East longitude; in the next 24-36 hours, the low pressure area is forecast to move in a West-Northwest direction into the sea east of the North East Sea and is likely to strengthen into a tropical depression.

To proactively respond, the Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention - Search and Rescue and Civil Defense requests the People's Committees of wards and communes; relevant agencies and units to implement the following contents:

For sea routes : Closely monitor warning bulletins, forecasts and developments of low pressure areas that are likely to strengthen into tropical depressions; notify captains and owners of vehicles and vessels operating at sea to proactively prevent and adjust production plans, ensuring safety of people and property; maintain
communication to promptly handle bad situations that may occur.

At the same time, prepare forces and means to deploy rescue work when there is a situation.

For mainland : Closely monitor forecasts and warnings about heavy rain, risks of floods, inundation, flash floods, landslides and provide timely and complete information to local authorities and people for proactive prevention.

At the same time, proactively deploy shock forces to inspect and review residential areas along rivers, streams, low-lying areas, areas at risk of floods, flash floods, landslides. Organize forces to guard, control, support, and guide to ensure safe traffic for people and vehicles, especially at culverts, spillways, deep flooded areas, fast-flowing water areas, areas where landslides have occurred or are at risk of landslides.

Assign leaders to directly direct flood response work in key areas, especially villages and hamlets at risk of being isolated due to floods and landslides.

The units are on duty seriously 24/7, regularly reporting the situation to the Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention - Search and Rescue and Civil Defense.
