Every working day is a day of creation
From 8:00 a.m. on June 30, the national festival to announce the resolutions and decisions of the Central and local governments on merging administrative units, establishing Party organizations, appointing Party committees, People's Councils, People's Committees, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees of provinces, cities, communes, wards, and special zones took place simultaneously nationwide.
At this special moment for the country, Party and State leaders attending the conference points had words of encouragement and heartfelt sharing with cadres, party members and people across the country, determined to enter a new era for the Vietnamese nation.
Attending the Ho Chi Minh City bridge, General Secretary To Lam gave an important speech, moving the hearts of millions of Vietnamese people to join hands and be determined to build Vietnam into an increasingly more dignified and beautiful country.
“Let every working day be a day of creation. Let each person be a soldier on the innovation front. Let the revolutionary spirit attack strongly, resolutely and creatively, imbuing the national soul in every action, every decision and every step of development”, the call of the head of our Party sent to the people and soldiers nationwide from the bridge point of the city named after Uncle Ho.
At the same time, at the bridge point of Hanoi Capital - the heart of the whole country, Politburo member, President Luong Cuong sent great expectations to the Party Committee, government and people of the Capital: "For Hanoi Capital - the land of thousands of years of culture, heroes, the center of national political and administrative brain, the heart of the whole country and a large urban area converging economy, culture, education, science, technology, international integration - the arrangement of administrative units this time has great significance. This is an important step to meet the requirements of urban development, promote historical and cultural values, administrative reform, better management and exploitation of the Capital's space and resources".
In the exciting atmosphere of the national festival, Politburo member and Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Bui Thi Minh Hoai expressed the city's high determination and great efforts: "All 126 communes and wards of Hanoi will start operating smoothly, synchronously, and smoothly according to the new requirements of the two-level local government with enthusiasm, confidence, and aspiration to contribute, for a bright future of the country."
New day on the land of a thousand years of civilization
On the day the country entered a new era, the Party Committee, government and people of 126 communes and wards of the capital joined forces with 3,195 communes, wards and special zones across the country.
According to the reporter of Hanoi Moi Newspaper, from all the streets of the capital to the conference halls in the communes and wards, everywhere one can feel an atmosphere full of excitement, freshness and pride in the land of a thousand years of civilization on the path of innovation ahead.
At the online announcement ceremony locations in the wards of Hoang Mai, Yen So, Hoang Liet, Tuong Mai, Linh Nam, etc., cadres, civil servants, public employees and people were all delighted to witness the important historical moment of the country, and at the same time, aware of their responsibilities in the new period.
From early morning, the Hoang Mai Cultural - Sports and Physical Training Center area was more crowded than usual, partly because people came to attend the announcement ceremony, partly because this place became the new headquarters of the Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee of Hoang Liet Ward. The ward arranged an online connection point at the Great Hall with hundreds of attendees, showing the significance and scale of the ceremony.
Ms. Vuong Thanh Van, Head of Residential Group 29, Hoang Liet Ward, shared: “I am very honored to attend the announcement ceremony of this important event. In the face of the country's and the capital's innovation, I hope that all aspects of social life will develop remarkably. As the head of the residential group of an apartment building, I feel that I also have a part of the responsibility and will do my best, quickly access new policies, guidelines, and information to implement, turn the residential group into a civilized residential group, 100% of families achieve the title of cultural families, improve the lifestyle of residents, and achieve the desired results".
In the wards of Thanh Xuan, Khuong Dinh, Phuong Liet, officials and civil servants all expressed their agreement and high consensus on the arrangement of administrative units and the organization's assignment, and at the same time, showed high determination in implementing the upcoming work.
Deputy Secretary of Thanh Xuan Ward Party Committee Tran Thi Thu Ha said that the tasks ahead are huge, with many new, difficult and unprecedented tasks, but with the spirit of solidarity, unity, responsibility, courage and creativity, the ward government will proactively get to work immediately; focus highly, strive to successfully and comprehensively carry out the political tasks in 2025 and the following years.
The urgent, positive and hopeful atmosphere of cadres, party members and people about the important milestone in the reform of the apparatus of Hanoi and the whole country promises to bring many positive changes.
In Ba Dinh Ward, people have high expectations for the two-level local government model. Mr. Nguyen Huu Tai (born in 1929; 80-year Party member in Ba Dinh Ward) shared: “This is a memorable historical day for all people. I hope that the staff of the two-level local government will be excellent cadres and Party members, fulfilling their mission well in the new period.”
Excited to welcome the new government's inauguration
Along with cadres, party members and people in the inner city, people in the suburbs of Hanoi also eagerly welcomed the day the new local government was launched.
In Dan Phuong commune, all the roads are brightly decorated with flags, banners, and posters welcoming the inauguration day of the commune government. For many days now, the commune has been hanging the national flag at offices and schools; many banners have been installed in easily observable locations... In residential areas, families solemnly hang the national flag... The brilliant red flags cover all the roads and public places, contributing to creating a solemn and exciting atmosphere in the locality.
The slogan: “Dan Phuong Commune - New historical moment, new era, era of the Vietnamese people's rise” was solemnly hung in the area of the headquarters of the Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee of Dan Phuong Commune. Vice Chairwoman of the People's Committee of Dan Phuong Commune Nguyen Thi Quynh Lam shared: “The brilliant red flags covered the streets and public places, contributing to creating a solemn and exciting atmosphere, creating a new momentum to firmly step into the new era in the locality”.
According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Quynh Lam, the new Dan Phuong commune was formed from the entire natural area of the communes and towns: Thuong Mo, Dan Phuong, Song Phuong, Dong Thap, Phung town and a part of the natural land area and population of Duc Thuong commune (Hoai Duc district). According to the orientation, in the future, Dan Phuong commune will develop urban areas, industrial clusters, ecological agricultural areas combined with experiential tourism, agricultural development associated with the formation of a green corridor to protect the environment of the capital.
In Phuc Loc commune, the atmosphere on the morning of June 30 was more bustling than ever. From villages and hamlets to agencies, units, schools and businesses, everyone was happily waiting for the new local government to be launched and officially put into operation on July 1.
According to the Hanoi Moi Newspaper reporter, on the main roads through the commune, many households and production and business establishments have quickly replaced their signs and billboards with the new commune name Phuc Loc. This is not only an administrative requirement, updating information also shows the people's readiness to integrate into a new, larger community with more opportunities.
Vice Chairman of Phuc Loc Commune People's Committee Dinh Xuan Hanh said: "We determined that this is not only an administrative event, but also an opportunity to strengthen people's trust, create motivation for the patriotic emulation movement, contribute to promoting comprehensive development of economy, culture, society, maintain security, order, and improve the lives of people in the commune".
Located far from the city center, the new Minh Chau commune was previously an island commune with many shortages in Ba Vi district. Secretary of the Minh Chau Party Committee Nguyen Duc Tien said: “Minh Chau commune has at least 2-3 months of flood season every year, causing flooding, greatly affecting production and people's lives. Therefore, the new apparatus determined that it must immediately start working to have specific plans to support people, especially ensuring social security and other specific policies.”
The fresh air and spirit of readiness for the official operation day on July 1 are not only reflected in the government apparatus, but also spread to every village and hamlet. Mr. Nguyen Danh Tien, a resident of Chu Chau village (Minh Chau commune) expressed: "The new government apparatus has more power and decentralization, we have high expectations for dedicated and capable officials who will do well for society and our homeland. Although Minh Chau still faces many difficulties, the people are ready to join hands to build our homeland to develop more."
The joyful and confident atmosphere among cadres, party members and people of the whole country in general and the capital in particular is an important foundation for our Party and State to be determined to successfully carry out the task of developing a rich and prosperous country.
