At nearly 9:00 a.m., the company listed the price of SJC gold bars at VND1,183 million/tael (buy) - VND120.3 million/tael (sell), an increase of VND800,000/tael each way compared to the end of the previous day.
The price of gold rings also increased but at a lower rate. Saigon Jewelry Company Limited listed the price of gold rings of type 1-5 at only VND114 million/tael (buy) - VND116.5 million/tael (sell), VND500,000/tael higher than the end of the previous day.
Phu Quy Group also increased by 500,000 VND/tael each way, to 113.6 million VND/tael (buy) - 116.6 million VND/tael (sell). Bao Tin Minh Chau Company Limited set it at 115 million VND/tael (buy) - 118 million VND/tael (sell), an increase of 600,000 VND/tael.
Domestic gold prices have increased sharply due to the influence of the international market. Early this morning, the world gold price reached 3,312 USD/ounce, up nearly 40 USD/ounce compared to the lowest level in last night's trading session.
At 9:00 a.m., the price of precious metals was trading at $3,317/ounce.
Gold prices rose as investors stepped up buying after the price of gold fell to a five-week low.
The converted world gold price is about 15.2 million VND/tael lower than the domestic gold price.
