'Drops of blood from the East' festival provides blood for the western region of Hai Phong

The 'Drops of Blood from the East' festival attracted a large number of participants and collected more blood units than the initial target.

"Drops of blood from the East" festival spreads the spirit of blood donation to save lives and overcome the shortage of blood for emergency and treatment in the western region of Hai Phong.

On July 6, Hai Duong Voluntary Blood Donation Youth Club coordinated with Hai Duong Central College of Pharmacy to organize the "Drops of Red Blood in the East" Festival.

Not only young people but also many middle-aged people actively participate in blood donation. In the photo: Ms. Nguyen Le Tu (53 years old) in Thanh Dong ward participated in blood donation. Ms. Tu has donated blood nearly 50 times.

The festival attracted about 800 volunteers to register to donate blood and collected more than 600 units of blood, higher than the set target in terms of both the number of participants (about 700 people) and the number of blood units collected (about 500 units).

Not only young people but also many middle-aged people actively participate in blood donation. The received blood units are transferred to the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion and Hai Duong General Hospital to serve timely treatment and emergency care for patients.

More than 600 units of blood will be transferred to the Central Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion and Hai Duong General Hospital for emergency and timely treatment of patients.

To ensure the organization, the Hai Duong Voluntary Blood Donation Youth Club mobilized more than 100 members to carefully carry out tasks such as communication, fully prepare the organization conditions and directly participate in blood donation.
