On July 6, Hai Duong Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital organized an assessment of the conditions for implementing electronic medical records. The assessment council included members of the Department of Science, Technology and Training ( Ministry of Health ), the Department of Health and the hospital.
The Council has assessed the conditions for implementing electronic medical records according to 2 Circulars of the Ministry of Health: No. 54 dated December 29, 2017 and No. 46 dated December 28, 2018. The main assessment criteria are infrastructure, management and operation software, hospital information system, image storage and transmission system, testing information system, information security, medical records, etc. The unit providing the platform and building the professional process for implementing electronic medical records at Hai Duong Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital is VNPT Hai Duong.

After reviewing and evaluating the implementation report and checking the actual software system and related equipment in the departments and rooms, the Appraisal Council unanimously announced that Hai Duong Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital is qualified to implement electronic medical records. This is the first city-level hospital in the western region of Hai Phong to meet the conditions for electronic medical records (the eastern region of Hai Phong has only Hai Phong Mental Hospital that meets the criteria for implementing electronic medical records).
Hai Duong Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital is a specialized hospital with 315 beds. The hospital's bed occupancy rate in the first 6 months of 2025 reached 92%.
Hai Duong Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital has 315 medical staff. The hospital has been piloting electronic medical records since November 2024.
