Law major in Ho Chi Minh City: Tuition fees vary 10 times, highest is nearly 200 million VND

(Dan Tri) - Tuition fees for law majors at universities in Ho Chi Minh City for the 2025-2026 school year vary greatly, ranging from 21 to nearly 200 million VND per year.

Ho Chi Minh City University of Law has one of the highest tuition fees. In the 2025-2026 school year, tuition fees for all majors range from 39.75 to 199.7 million VND/year.

Specifically, the regular training program in law, international trade law and business administration has the lowest tuition fee of 39.75 million VND/year.

Meanwhile, the high-quality law program, taught in English, has tuition fees of up to 199.7 million VND/year. The remaining programs range from 47-94 million VND/year.

With the University of Economics and Law, Ho Chi Minh City National University, the law major has 3 majors: civil law, finance and banking law, law, public policy and economic law with 3 majors: business law, international trade law, international trade law (English).

The announced tuition fee for the 2025-2026 enrollment period is 31.5 million/year for the Vietnamese program and 65 million/year for the English program.

Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education also announced a tuition fee of 16,250 million VND/semester, equivalent to 32.5 million VND/year for the Vietnamese language program.

Also in this range, at Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry, the tuition fee is 32.85 million VND/school year, with 2 training majors: economic law and international law.

In the 2025-2026 school year, Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics will adjust tuition fees for each subject according to the following classifications: Vietnamese language, English language, and Vietnamese language with international certificate integration subjects.

The tuition fee for the Vietnamese language course is 1.3 million VND. The tuition fee for the English language course is 1.4 times higher and the tuition fee for the practical course is 1.2 times higher than the Vietnamese language course.

Ho Chi Minh City Banking University trains in economic law with the expected standard tuition fee for the regular university program in the 2025-2026 school year being 21 million VND/year.

Ho Chi Minh City Open University offers training in law and economic law with tuition fees for the general program of about 27.5 million VND/academic year; for the high-quality economic law program of about 46.5 million VND/academic year.

Training in the two above majors, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology charges tuition fees per semester (each school year has 4 semesters) and has an average tuition fee of about 14.5 million VND/semester.

Similarly, Ho Chi Minh City University of Foreign Languages and Information Technology maintains a stable tuition fee for the entire course at 1.23 million VND/credit. If calculated by school year, the tuition fee for economic law is nearly 50.2 VND/year and for law is 48.9 VND/year.

Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and Finance offers three majors in law: law, economic law, and international law. The school stipulates that each academic year has four semesters. The average tuition fee is 20 million VND/semester (about 80 million VND/academic year).

Gia Dinh University has one of the lowest tuition fees, training in law (business law and international commercial law) and economic law in 8 semesters, in just 3 years of study. Tuition fee is 14.25 million VND/semester.
