Meaning of the new logo of the Ministry of Science and Technology

On August 22, at the meeting with retired cadres to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the postal sector in Da Nang, the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) officially announced the new logo.

According to the Ministry of Science and Technology, the new logo represents the desire for innovation, leading technology and inspiring Vietnam's creative spirit in the digital transformation period.

Mr. Ha Minh Hiep, Chief of Office of the Ministry of Science and Technology, said that the logo design combines many symbolic images.

In particular, the golden star in the center represents tradition, history and the symbol of Vietnamese intelligence and will, affirming the core role of science and technology, innovation and digital transformation.

This is also the central driving force that brings the Fatherland to strength and prosperity.

Meanwhile, the satellite icon represents information technology, telecommunications, big data, IoT and cyberspace, essential infrastructure for digital transformation, building digital government, digital economy, and digital society.

Besides, the interwoven orbits show continuous movement, multi-disciplinary linkage, creating a combined strength.

The atomic symbol represents science, the foundation for exploring the physical world, the origin of research, technology and applications to explore the world.

The microchip symbol represents cutting-edge technology industries such as semiconductors, AI... improving productivity, quality, efficiency and competitiveness of the economy.

The four circles, including the yellow and blue circles, symbolize continuous movement, the continuity of tradition and modernity, connecting generations of the industry through the ages.

- The "Ministry of Science and Technology" circle affirms the role of the highest state management agency in science and technology;

- The circle of Science, Technology, Innovation and Digital Transformation symbolizes the four strategic pillars, demonstrating the Ministry's comprehensive commitment and orientation in the new period.

- The binary code circle consists of 34 pairs of numbers, symbolizing the flow of data and knowledge connecting 34 provinces and cities.

The logo uses three main colors, including:

Blue (Water) symbolizes the sky and creative intelligence, evoking the spirit of scientific research, perseverance, flexibility and the desire to reach out globally, the color of core values: pioneering, creative, breakthrough.

Yellow (Earth) represents the earth, prosperity and sustainability; associated with history, tradition and centrality and stability. This color represents values: devotion, loyalty, and loyalty.

The white background (Metal) symbolizes people, standards and discipline; emphasizes transparency, objectivity and honesty in state management, and reflects the purity and integrity of intelligence and morality.

At the launch, many retired cadres of the postal and information and communications sector highly appreciated the new logo with the meanings of many symbols combined harmoniously and eye-catchingly, expressing the core values of the science and technology sector in the era of development.

The Ministry of Science and Technology said the new logo symbolizes the key role of science, technology, innovation and digital transformation in the country's development.

The logo also represents the pioneering, creative, innovative spirit; dedication, courage and loyalty. This is the gene that has been forged from the two fields of science, technology and post and telecommunications over the past 80 years.

The Ministry of Science and Technology hopes that this image will be preserved, promoted and spread, arousing the desire for creativity, the will to innovate and the spirit of service for the development of Vietnam.
