Tra Vinh University implements many policies to accompany new students

Fast procedure, good learning conditions

According to TVU, during the direct admission process, the school will arrange a diagram and mobilize volunteers to guide admission, view the class schedule, English proficiency test schedule, register for dormitories, pay tuition and fees, update student records... according to a convenient digital process. New students will be enthusiastically and fully answered about regulations, procedures, admission documents...

The school also applies new technology in the admission process, with an online registration system and QR code scanning to shorten waiting times. At the same time, it arranges waiting areas for parents and new students, creating a comfortable and friendly atmosphere from the first day.

To facilitate learning, TVU has arranged a dormitory with a capacity of 3,500, divided into 5 buildings, with separate areas for women and men. Rooms are fully equipped with amenities including bunk beds, wardrobes, study desks, fans, lighting systems, internet, etc.

In addition, the dormitory campus is equipped with exercise machines, badminton courts, volleyball courts, basketball courts and walking and jogging areas for students to exercise. In addition, the dormitory park is equipped with tables and benches for students to sit, relax, chat and breathe fresh air.

For off-campus students, the school coordinates with local authorities and organizations to survey and introduce safe, reasonably priced lodgings that ensure security and order.

Reduce financial burden with many policies

From 2021 to 2025, TVU will implement a policy of tuition exemption and reduction, financial support for purchasing vehicles, learning materials, social subsidies, and scholarships to encourage learning for over 13,110 students, with a total value of over 60.7 billion VND, along with many scholarships sponsored by organizations, individuals, and businesses for students who overcome difficulties in their studies.

For new students with excellent results in the entrance exam, the school will consider granting a bonus of 7 - 10 million VND. This is a worthy reward and encouragement for their tireless efforts. In addition, the school also exempts 100% of tuition fees for students majoring in Traditional Musical Instrument Performance and provides a living allowance of 450,000 VND/month. 30% reduction in tuition fees for the entire course for students majoring in: Cultural Studies; Musicology; Khmer Language.

In addition, TVU offers scholarships equivalent to 50% of the full course tuition fee for female students studying in the following engineering technology groups: Traffic Construction Engineering, Construction Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Electrical and Electronic Engineering Technology, Control and Automation Engineering Technology, Automotive Engineering Technology, etc. Offers scholarships equivalent to 30% of the full course tuition fee for female students studying Applied Chemistry.

From the 2025 regular enrollment period, TVU will provide 100% scholarships for first-year tuition fees for students majoring in: Plant Protection; Chemical Engineering Technology; Social Work; Pharmaceutical Chemistry; Traffic Construction Engineering; Public Health; Biotechnology ; Political Science; Artificial Intelligence; Mechatronics and Environmental Engineering.

Scholarships equivalent to 50% of tuition fees are awarded to students enrolled in the Business Administration and Information Technology training program (English Integrated Program). The scholarship period is calculated from the time of admission to this program from the beginning of the second semester (excluding the first semester of English study) of the course.

In addition, TVU also provides financial support for students who are accepted to exchange and study at partner schools (no more than 1 year) with a support level of 7,000,000 VND for destinations in Asia, and 5,000,000 VND for countries in Southeast Asia and 10,000,000 VND for other regions.

At the same time, many policies are provided to encourage, promote innovation and support student startups such as: supporting funding to implement feasible startup projects (up to 50,000,000 VND/project); supporting funding to establish a business or cooperative (10,000,000 VND/idea); supporting office space in the initial stages; consulting and training student startups on important knowledge; supporting consulting on creation, design, registration for intellectual property protection, etc.

During the study period, TVU has many activities connecting businesses, Co-op training programs at businesses, enhancing cooperation in training and recruiting students. These activities include job fairs, signing cooperation agreements with businesses, career counseling and on-site recruitment interviews.

According to TVU, these activities demonstrate the school's commitment to improving the quality of training, closely following the recruitment needs of the labor market and creating the best conditions for students after graduation. Currently, TVU develops a variety of training programs according to the Co.op model. The number of programs following this model is increasingly expanding to meet the demand for quality human resources for domestic and foreign enterprises.

Training under the Co.op model shows the close connection between schools and businesses right from the admission and career counseling stages. This is the stage that determines students' awareness before enrolling and career orientation from the time they are in high school.

Accordingly, the school and the enterprise jointly develop a program that is suitable for the needs of the enterprise, improving the quality of training, while the enterprise directly participates in the training process of the school. During the training process, students experience real-life careers at enterprises as employees, increasing the adaptability of students when recruited and working at the enterprise.

Up to now, TVU has 27 training majors accredited according to international standards of FIBAA, AUN-QA, ABET, the Dentistry major has met the accreditation standards of the Ministry of Education and Training , contributing to putting TVU in the top universities in the Mekong Delta with many programs accredited for international education quality, affirming the school's persistent efforts in improving training quality, aiming towards global education standards.

For many years, Tra Vinh University has been in the top 200 universities with green educational environments and sustainable investment development, according to UI GreenMetric Ranking. For three consecutive years 2022, 2023, 2024, it has won the award for outstanding digital transformation.
