Speaking at the meeting, the Minister expressed his gratitude to the World Bank (WB) and Ms. Mariam J. Sherman for their valuable support to Vietnam and Vietnam's education and training in the past.
One of the effective supports of the World Bank emphasized by the Minister is related to the development of the new Preschool Education Program. The Ministry of Education and Training considers the development and implementation of this Program as one of the key tasks of the Education sector in the coming time.
At the same time, from the 2025-2026 school year, the education sector will also implement universal preschool education for children from 3 to 5 years old according to the National Assembly 's Resolution. This must be completed by 2030. This is a very challenging task.

With these two major tasks, the Minister hopes to receive companionship and support from the World Bank.
Besides the content on preschool education and technical support for preschool education, the two sides are also interested in developing high-tech human resources.
Accordingly, Ms. Mariam J. Sherman mentioned an upcoming report on the future of Vietnam's semiconductor industry and the potential for cooperation in developing high-quality human resources. Minister Nguyen Kim Son affirmed the great need for human resource training for high-tech fields such as semiconductors, nuclear energy and other technology industries...

In addition to the above content, the two sides also informed and discussed the implementation status of Sub-project 1 - Construction of technical infrastructure and urgent works for Danang University, under the Vietnam University Development Project (VUDP); Vietnam's digital transformation strategy in general and the education sector in particular. Other proposals and recommendations of mutual interest were also shared and discussed at the meeting.
