Hanoi students study life skills after opening ceremony

GD&TĐ - Schools in Hanoi will organize the first class after the opening ceremony of the 2025-2026 school year with life skills education topics.

The Hanoi Department of Education and Training requires schools to organize the first class after the opening ceremony of the 2025-2026 school year (morning of September 5) with skills education topics such as fire prevention, injury prevention, education on civilized and elegant lifestyle... instead of going straight into cultural classes.

In addition to accident and injury prevention skills, the topics at the beginning of the year also include content on school safety; preventing school violence, illegal racing; raising awareness of law compliance...

This activity has been maintained for the past few years, schools will flexibly choose content suitable to actual conditions.

This year's opening ceremony has a new feature: schools will broadcast the program celebrating the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Ministry of National Education (now the Ministry of Education and Training ) and the national opening ceremony from 8:00 a.m.

Before that, from 7am to before 8am, schools can organize activities such as welcoming students at the beginning of the year, the principal giving a speech, beating the drum to open the school year, encouraging students, etc. The Hanoi Department of Education and Training also guides schools to proactively adjust the program according to weather conditions and reality. If it is sunny or rainy, students can watch the program on the screen in class.

School activities should be organized concisely and end before 8:00 a.m.

From 8:00 to 9:30, all delegates, teachers and students fully attended the program organized by the Ministry of Education and Training (including performing the flag-raising ceremony, singing the National Anthem at the same time as the flag-raising ceremony at the National Convention Center; listening to the speech of General Secretary To Lam...).

The ceremony to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the Ministry of National Education (now the Ministry of Education and Training) and the opening of the 2025-2026 school year was held on the morning of September 5, 2025 at the National Convention Center, broadcast live on VTV1 channel of Vietnam Television and connected online to educational and training institutions nationwide.
